Wow, I love my Naturopathic doctor! I'm really going to have to write about my experience soon. But for now, I'll tell you what I learned from her lecture tonight.
Sugar - did you know that at the beginning of the 20th century, the average amount of sugar that was consumed per person per year was about a dixie-cup full? Our bodies are not designed to handle such large amounts of sugar that are in our diets now. Use stevia instead.
Alzheimers - Did you know that for every flu shot you get, you raise your risk of getting Alzheimers disease by 10%?! Holy crap! It's because of the mercury in the vaccine.
Sunshine - The cheapest thing you can do to help your immune system is to get 20 minutes of sunshine per day - no sunscreen or sunglasses! It also helps with depression, insomnia and cancer.
Salt lamps - They create negative ions which help clean the air. Also sea salt is good for your health. The sodium and potassium and other minerals are alkalizing.
