Day 9 of Releana and the official weigh-in at the Dr's office....

So the hunger is finally subsiding a bit. But I've had to scarf a tomato or some cucumber slices a time or two, just to keep from hurting my children. I protect my food like an inmate. I cooked some shrimp on the George Foreman grill last night and my sweet little 5 year old daughter says "Mommy can I have one of your shrimps?" Poor girl, I hope I didn't scar her for life. Even my husband is defending my portions. "Sweetie, you can't eat one of mommy's 8 shrimp, that's all she gets..."

Ok, so on to the good stuff.

My doc says I can come in as often as I'd like to weigh-in. The pull my chart, update my info. It all feels very legit. And this way, I feel like I'm really getting my money's worth! So, during my consultation I weighed-in at 134.6lbs......and today....drum roll please........126.6lbs!!!!

Whoo hooo! 8 lbs!!! Whooo HOOO!

Hi Everyone,
I weighed in today at 149.5 then 5 minutes later I was at 149.9. So I don't know how much I weigh (LOL). Anyway I am still at work which is unheard of since I work in an office and I am on the east cost. That's right it's 8:48. I'm tired. I will check in with everyone this weekend. Go Carissa and Jo. Just know we are doing this thing (SMILE)

Great job everyone! This morning I was at 144.5! I did an apple day 2 days ago because i felt I was at a stall. It turns out that I was stalled because i just started. That time of the month. I probably didn't need the apple day but nevertheless, i lost more! My original goal was 140 or 145, then it changed to 135 and now I'm wondering if 130 might be better. i still see a lot of fat that needs to go! I imagined that If i got to this weight i'd be fat free but I was wrong. I have noticed that I didn't lose my muscle. I was really into weight training for a long time and I still have some definition. If I had done this diet without the releana i know i would be just a pile of mush because I had done those types of hardcore dieting in the past. I was a runway model for 14 years so basically, I abused my body with diets which is why I'm where I'm at now! I just want to be healthy now Back then I weighed 120ish. I'll never do that again. I could live with a toned 140. Ok. I'm blabbing. JO, I do take the B12 shots which are great and I was taking chromium but i ran out. I need to go get more! Hope you guys are around during thanksgiving....the biggest challenge! I think what I'm going to do is go off the drops for 72 hours like Tonia said and when I start eating , i'm going to eat to my content but just no starches or sugar. AT least I'm going to try that so that I don't gain so much back before goal. Have a great day!

YEAH Tonia!!! So happy for you! I'm getting back into the groove of my portions so we'll see on sat my weight, I'm hoping to be under 140.

Good Morning.

Today's weigh in was great. 149.8. Can't believe I'm here. Jo you were right about 149 being around the corner. I also get the B12 shot weekly. I think this has helped because I have never felt tired or low energy on this program. I'm still amazed how I'm not starving daily.

Hi all! I'm not weighing myself these days but I have been able to drink more water today so hopefully on Sat when I go to weigh in at the Dr. office it will show. Carissa- sorry to hear the phentermine didn't work for you. My MD has me taking lots of vitamins too, I think chromium helps with appetite, maybe some B vit too? Not sure if your doctor would recommend these for you. I will definitely be joining you all here on the blog during the holidays because I will need the support! Still haven't decided what to do yet... cheat or no cheat. Tonia-I'm sure 149 is just around the corner! Good luck!

Still at 150. Maybe tomorrow I will see 149. Who knows?. Carissa, My goal is 130-135. I originally thought 125 but that may make me look a little crazy. I am 5'3 and 37 years old. I will be here on the blog over the holidays. I'm going to need the support and I need to stay focused even though I am taking 2 days off the diet. I'm afraid of blowing up as well or not wanting to get back on track so I will definitely be on this blog to keep my brain focused.

Hi and Thanks so much Tonia. I think I'm going to do the 72 hour off the drops before T day. I'm going to be visiting relatives for a week so I was hoping for 2 days of normal eating. I just didn't understand that Releana stays in your body even after you stop the drops. That's good to know because I didn't want my body burning muscle. I think I'm going to buy one of those portable scales that you can travel with. I hear that they are the size of a video cassette. I'm going to try your method Tonia and I'm sure I'll be in touch on here during the holidays in case I start blowing up. Jo, I cannot do phentermine (for appetite suppression) because it makes my heart race too much. If there is something else out there other than that let me know. Tonia, sooooo happy you're at 150!! Wow, what a success. What is your ultimate goal? I'm at 147 now and goal is 135.

You're totally right about the water intake, I will up it in my down time. The crystal light is a great idea! Carissa, have you asked your doctor about a prescription for appetite control? My dr. gave me something to reduce my appetite so I rarely feel hungry on the diet (just craving sugar every now and again).
I'm so happy to have found this blog, it's such a huge help to read your experience and to know others understand what I'm going through. Good luck everyone!!!

Hi Everyone,
I am finally at 150. I didn't think this day would come but it's here. Now I'm looking forward to 145. Carissa- I have been doing the drops for 60 days nonstop. My doctor says you can stay on the Releana until you get to your desired weight. There are a few exceptions she said. If you get to a point where you stop losing then she recommends you get off and do the maintenance for month before starting again. When you stop taking the drops 72 hrs prior. You eat your regular 500 cal diet. By the begn of the 4th day the mediicine is not still feeding your blood so you will be hungry so that is why you eat regular food on the 4th day because you would not be able to maintain that diet without the medicine in your bloodstream. In the "Pounds and Inches" and in my literature it says that if you are going to have to interrupt your diet for a couple of days to stop with the drops or you will experience a rapid gain. However, if your just going off the diet for 1 meal on thanksgiving my doctor said to keep taking the drops but you may or may not gain the next day depending on how much you ate at dinner. I will be off the diet for Thursday and Friday so I know I better not continue the drops for those two days when I know I will have some carbs. I don't want to double my gain. I will also have wine on Thanksgiving. Just to be on the safe side I am not going to do the drops on Thursday and Friday.

Jo-there are a couple of times I've had a little extra protein or an additional apple so I wouldn't totally eat the wrong thing. Occasionally if your hungry I think it's better to eat a little extra of the food allowed then it is to eat cookies or something totally not allowed. Drink water I will say because it also helps flush your system and keep you hydrated and helps with cravings. Add some crystal lite - Lemon flavor to make it easier to drink. If you can't drink it at work, try to drink most of your water when your off but you have to get the water in. It will help you lose as well. It's through the urine that your fat will pass.

Hi everyone. Sounds like everyone is doing awesome. Tonia, one lb is no big deal. I keep going up and down too. I didnt' think I was cheating but turns out I shouldn't have so many diet sodas. Supposedly, I can have two but I'm going to try to just stay away completely since I was beginning to stall. Only 3 lbs dropped this last week for a total of 23lbs. Carol, I have a question about quitting the drops 72 hours before T day. What do you eat for the 72 hours prior? if we stick to the 500 calorie plan won't we fell famished? My doctor says to stay on the drops and when I told her about the triple weight gain she said no stay on the drops but not to go overboard with carbs on T day. Have a couple bites of carbohydrate loaded foods like yams , etc. So i think i'll indulge in turkey and veggies and just dabble in the rest. I DO want my wine. I'm missing it so much! I'm also wondering if anyone has been on the drops for over 45 days in a row. I thought you were supposed to do a 6 week break after 45 days
