Day 9 of Releana and the official weigh-in at the Dr's office....

So the hunger is finally subsiding a bit. But I've had to scarf a tomato or some cucumber slices a time or two, just to keep from hurting my children. I protect my food like an inmate. I cooked some shrimp on the George Foreman grill last night and my sweet little 5 year old daughter says "Mommy can I have one of your shrimps?" Poor girl, I hope I didn't scar her for life. Even my husband is defending my portions. "Sweetie, you can't eat one of mommy's 8 shrimp, that's all she gets..."

Ok, so on to the good stuff.

My doc says I can come in as often as I'd like to weigh-in. The pull my chart, update my info. It all feels very legit. And this way, I feel like I'm really getting my money's worth! So, during my consultation I weighed-in at 134.6lbs......and today....drum roll please........126.6lbs!!!!

Whoo hooo! 8 lbs!!! Whooo HOOO!

LOL Tonia I needed that anyways! thanks, i think i did it wrong BIG TIME!!! but i finally saw my weight go down again to 152

GM Everyone, I'm still at 153. Apple day doesn't end until just before noon so I'm hoping tomorrow the scale numbers will be on my side. Carissa I'm glad to see one of us is it at 150 :). It's driving me nuts.

Hi Claudia- An apple day is done when you are in a plateau and you have not lost in more than 4 days. You eat only 6 apples starting from 12 noon until just before noon the next day and you only drink enough water to quench your thirst. You drink no other beverage and eat no other food only the apples. The first time I did an apple day I did it wrong because I had coffee and crystal lite but when I read the pounds and inches it said no other beverage other than water. It is supposed to break the plateau so that you can conitnue to lose.

Hi Tonia, thanks for the tips. I got my B12 shot yesterday and feel much better. I was cracking up because you and I have been hovering over the exact same weight. I would gain 2 lbs then lose the 2lbs then gain 1 then lose 2. Finally this morning I'm at 150. Yesterday I was at 152.5. Go figure. I just cut out so much salt. I was putting this salt/chili mixture on my apples and i think i was just bloating up. Secondly, whenever i ate beef (even if it was lean and the right portion) I wouldn't lose weight, so I'll stick to chicken. Good luck on your apple day. Let me know how it goes! I'm sure you will reach your goal by 11/14.

Hi Carissa, every now and then I feel really tired some days. I had a feeling like that once when I was shopping. I think the walking and standing on your feet for 2 hours is equivalent to a work out. Remember your not eating a whole lot. The insomnia I'm not sure about.

Today I weighed in at 153.9. I have been going back and forth from 154 to 153 and back all week long. Today I'm doing an apple day to try and break this. It's driving me crazy. I'm still hanging on to reaching my goal of 150 by 11-14-09.

Hi everyone. I haven't posted on here for a while but I've been keeping up with everyone and congrats to you all! I am on day 20 and have lost 19 lbs. I've stuck to it pretty much 100 percent. Originally I just wanted to lose 20 but now I want to lose 10 more to get down to where I was 6 years ago. I have a question though that I hope someone can answer. Today I actually began to feel weak and fatigued. I went shopping at the mall and was there like 2 hours and all the walking exhausted me. I had not felt that before. So, I'm just a little worried I guess. this all seems so extreme and although i am THRILLED with the results, I just want some peace about me feeling weak. I have almost finished my 2 liters of water and have eaten my 2 apples and protein and veggies today. Any suggestions? I do take a ton of vitamins too. i had another question. I've been suffering from horrible insomnia lately. Is this common? On a positive note, it seems that I need less sleep and I used to need naps but now I don't. Any info will help thanks!!!!

Ouch...that's expensive! My medical insurance paid for the bloodwork (thru my gyno because I had other medical issues) and I am only charged for the Releana every 30 days when I pick up the bottle. Included in that was a consultation with a nurse practicioner & weekly telephone check-in. I talked to my internist about the HCG diet, but he had never heard of it before.
I read in the paper that a local pharmacy is sponsoring the HCG plan that is being administered by a nurse practicioner also. Perhaps there is an alternative source in your area?

I know - creativity is the KEY! I get my drops from a naturopath clinic...$250 plus weekly visits of $90 - plus a ton of supplements and bloodwork...NOT CHEAP! Now that I've got the routine down and I still have 25lbs to go I was hoping to find somewhere where its just the drops...but Releana!
