Day 9 of Releana and the official weigh-in at the Dr's office....

So the hunger is finally subsiding a bit. But I've had to scarf a tomato or some cucumber slices a time or two, just to keep from hurting my children. I protect my food like an inmate. I cooked some shrimp on the George Foreman grill last night and my sweet little 5 year old daughter says "Mommy can I have one of your shrimps?" Poor girl, I hope I didn't scar her for life. Even my husband is defending my portions. "Sweetie, you can't eat one of mommy's 8 shrimp, that's all she gets..."

Ok, so on to the good stuff.

My doc says I can come in as often as I'd like to weigh-in. The pull my chart, update my info. It all feels very legit. And this way, I feel like I'm really getting my money's worth! So, during my consultation I weighed-in at 134.6lbs......and today....drum roll please........126.6lbs!!!!

Whoo hooo! 8 lbs!!! Whooo HOOO!

Sherri i was told we couldnt even have mints on this diet? OMG im going to run out to the store and get some sugar free gum!

I think this is defiinitely the answer to weight loss for me. I started the diet on Sat Oct 31, 2009 and have been on diet 5 days and have loss 6 lbs in 5 days. I am not hungry, I have not craved sweets, and I have followed diet as told. My clothes feel so good on for a change. I have been chewing a lot of sugar free gum. That may also have helped.

Good Morning girls!!! Richelle thanks a bunch, ya me too i was like i wearing small jeans and i dont want to go back to size 15! We have came a looooonnggg way to go back to the same thing over again! So i will keep trying and keep going!

GM Everyone,
Weighed int his morning at 155.1. I'll take it. Hi Jennifer. Welcome. You can definitely do it. I don't have a set menu plan but I can share what I do. Normally on sundays I measure out my chicken breast and some lean beef or fish and I take the allowed vegetables and steam the veggies. I season and cook the meat on my grill pan or in the oven following the directions of not using any oils only non-stick cooking spray and I put all my meals for the week and saturday in containers so in the evening I just cook for my husband and take my food out and microwave. This is helpful so I never have to think to hard about what I'm going eat. All my meals are prepared ahead of time. It doesn't take a long time to prepare them because it's so basic. I work so this also helps because I prepare my lunches and dinners for this week. It doesn't take more than 40 minutes. For me knowing that I have food prepared has been wonderful. When I'm in a crunch I have to eat out I eat a salad no dressing, cheese, croutons, etc. and I have that with grilled chicken.

Thanks Claudia! I know what you mean, Halloween was the hardest for me. It's a friends birthday and there is always a big party with cake, brownies, and so much candy. I just kept reminding myself that I'm wearing jeans that I haven't been able to get into in a long time, and they're now getting big. I think you've earned "super star" status- whoo hoo!!!

Good job Richelle! I know i havent either but its super hard!!! i have been very tempted to eat a big SNEAKERS but no I havent and I wont LOL!!!

Hello all!
Today is the 8th day of maintenance for me after 31 days on Releana. So far so good, I weighed in at 149.8 this morning. Down 4.4 lbs since going off the drops and 25.8lbs so far. Only a little over 14lbs to my goal weight. So glad that I haven't cheated at all, even at parties and get togethers, it has been so worth it!

Way to go Claudia!

GM, every one sounds like we are all going back to the samething, Im trying really hard after 2 weeks on my 2nd round of Relena 152-157lbs. This morning i am at 150 lbs! YAY...

Tonia I am sure you can do it!

Carol Im with you, i've been on the Relena for about 1 month 1/2 and have only lost 27lbs I was hoping for more but 27 is 27 and im down to a size 10 from a size 14-15 so keep up the good work.

Donna I was doing the samething thinking it was not going to do any effect on me and trust me it sure did. so stay away from all of that!

GM All,
I weighed in this morning and now I'm back to 155.9. That's okay with me. I 'm hoping to see 150 by my B-day on the 14th. That would be the best present ever. Anyway I'm glad to see everyone is bouncing back after a stray or two. I haven't strayed but I wanted to give myself Thanksgiving day and the day after possibly. I have guest coming so I don't want to get into the whole Releana thing. Do you think it's best if I discontinue the drops on Thanksgiving. I was going to discontinue the drops Monday before thanksgiving and eat a normal diet on Thanksgiving Day and the day after and continue the drops on Saturday. Let me know what you think?

Hi everyone,
I did stray a bit on my weekend trip to KC. I couldn't bypass a couple of Starbucks skinny mochas plus I had a few other items at restaurants, although I tried to keep everything low fat. I found out having sugar whetted my appetite for more sugar so when I got home I attacked a bag or fresh, chewy, Tootsie Rolls. I weighed in at 200.0 this am. I'm back on the wagon today, & following the diet again.
Losing weight is more important than eating he rest of the Tootsie Rolls!
