I remember looking at this magazine at work and it was an article imforming people about why we can't always trust the "natural" label because what's in it and the packaging was not inspected by the FDA.
It had a picture of the Bare Minerals product because it was talking about mineral make-up.
"Bismuth Oxychloride." Look familar? I thought I saw it on the Bare Minerals infomercial.
I was thinking about that comment from a user to my first blog about my skin. She said that she questions about the quality of Burt's Bees products and the fact that companies that claim to make organic stuff can sneak in a few man-made crap in their stuff.
Let's take a look at Burt's Bees "Deep Cleansing Cream":
I'm looking at the ingredients.....
how do you get "vegetable fat?"....."silica"....I'm skipping over the natural stuff like coconut oil and such.....I'm reading the suspicious looking stuff....yep, they put "glucose" in it!...."cetyl alcohol"....and , oh yeah, "xanthun gum".... "sucrose stearate"..."glucose oxidate and lactoperoxidaise."
They put the same junk in the Deep Pore Scrub too! Oh yes, Sodium Borate is also their man-made ingredient as well on both products that I have.
I mind as well go au naturale like my Mom said I should. So that goes back to doing those suggestions I've received back then. (shrugs)...
