Hey Baggypants,
How are ya? I've sent you about four emails to your private email; yea, I know they were long messages!! It had been a while since we had talked, though. I really appreciate the card and gift you sent to me; it really made me feel good, perked me up!
I try to get on this site when I can and it helps me think about other things going on with life, you know what I mean.
I saw in my inbox where you had replied, but did not know if it was the same Sarah or not, so I could not wait to click on it to see if it was, voila, it was Baggypants!!
Sarah, when did you get shingles? I read your reply to the staph infection-contagious disease thread. Your post was a good one; I think that people with candida should take that Olive leaf extract, too. It sounds as if you just recently got over shingles!! That must be awful; I have never had them myself. From what I read years ago, isn't it a virus that lays dormant inside the lining of the nerves, then pops it's ugly head whenever, such as periods of stress, sickness, etc. I don't know; you can't believe anything you read about disease when it is written by the medical community.
Did you ever have Candida?
How is the sprained ankle? Has the bruising gone away along with the swelling? Do you wear some type of ankle brace?
Of course I was nosey, ha ha, and read your messages from Linda; are you taking Almased? I'm telling ya, if you go vegetarian, it is much easier to maintain your weight, plus you will have lots and lots of bowel movements!! The fruits and vegetables are easy to digest, and you just don't gain weight with eating them. I try to stay away from a lot of carbohydrates, and I eat a lot of asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, artichokes, avocadoes, tomatoes, onions, etc. Yes I do eat potatoes, peas, and carrots. But not as much as the other veggies. I eat any fruits that I want.
I wanted to know your reaction to my doing this! So far, I am not missing meat too much at all. I don't know all there is to know about this, but I want to buy some books on vegetarianism, and oh by the way, is fish considered meat? Now I remember!! Maybe that is one reason I am not missing the other "meats". I do eat fish. But Jerry said it really isn't considered meat; so what is it considered to be? Well, he told me that the Catholic church does not consider fish to be meat. So what is it, then!! LOL, I sure don't know! As you can tell, I am really green at this, but I sure enjoy it. Jerry is also doing this with me, (sigh of relief) and he likes it too!! He does still eat pork sometimes, (Yuck) but not everyday like it use to be!!
I think I told you that I buy the frozen vegetables, then cook them till crispy but more tender than just raw; they are really tasty, salt and pepper them to taste, peel a few onions to put with them, etc.
Oh, well, enough about me!! I have been feeling so much better than a month ago. I have to tell you, I scared myself! I am usually so in control of everything.
Hey, I want to get to the other Nature Cures site, but I can't just yet, as I told you how "forever" it take our computer to download it. Gabe took care of my computer in my office; it won't even turn on now.
Anyway, are you on that site too? I noticed ezmee has come back again to this site; what is going on at the other site?
Hey, let me know what is going on with you, and let me know about the glassware question to you; remember I told you Ashley isn't in to antiques, so unlike me, and I don't think wants a lot of my stuff. I have a lot of antiques; began collecting and buying them just right before the whole world caught on to the value of them! I use to go to estate sales and auctions all the time!! What fun! Now, if you want an antique, you're gonna pay for it!!
You might not like antiques either, I don't know!! When I was growing up, I hated them! I had no idea how valuable they really were! My mom bought antiques all the time!! I despised it!! Then, in my twenties, I realized the quality that was in them, let alone the history they espoused!
Well, let me know how you are doing, girl! I've really missed the messages; and thank you again for the card and gift; that was very sweet of you to do for me!! And it worked!!
Wow, if you can do that I'm going to be jumping up and down for you. I'm going to set my measly 1.5 goal a little higher next week. I thought I should keep my goal low because I just lost 2.6 pounds from Thursday so another 1.5 sounded reasonable. You will have to keep a journal so you can tell me exactly what you ate and how much Almased you used so I can duplicate it for the next week, okay?
Let's do that and keep each other posted on what works with the Almased. Sorry, about the injury, that's a bummer. I should have told you that I do exercise each day while I did the Almased. I think that is a key component. There's no one on here that is doing the Almased so we can help each other. I know I need it.
Sarah, thanks for compliments on pix. I started the Almased on Thursday because I had gone over my LIW by 5 or 6 pounds so I thought I have to start the Almased now. So on I took 4T of it and mixed it with one cup whole milk and one cup strawberries and one packet of organic zero sugar and blended it up and had that for breakfast. lunch and dinner. At about 3pm I did have an apple and then later in the evening I had some of those homemade crackers, remember them? I had them with some dip. I bet I had 7 of those crackers and then the next day, Friday I lost 2 pounds. So I did it again and lost another .6 pounds and then today I stayed the same. So I'm very happy with the results of Almased so far. I went to that website and just bought another 5 cans of it because then the shipping is free. I have not been that hungry only like I said at about 3pm then I have to have something. Yesterday I did have tomato soup but went overboard a little and had about 6 cups of the stuff plus my crackers so I think that is why I stayed the same today. I'll keep you posted but I think I enjoy this more than the injections. I was thinking of buying one more round because I want to get to 160, but I'm going to hold of now. Thanks so much for telling me about this. I really appreciate it.
Sarah, just wanted to check in with you and find out how it's going with Almased. I haven't purchased it yet, but am planning on it. There is a co-op about 20 miles from me that sells it, so it's just a matter of me getting there and picking it up. I'm on day 16 of hcg for the fourth time. I still have over halfway to go so I got time before I start the Almased.
I found my download of the Almased diet and I re-read it. It says in there to watch for imitations. The real stuff has honey in it and the imitation will have honey powder in it, so the place you told me to get the Almased does that stuff have the honey or the honey powder in it, the stuff for $21.50? I will try this after I finish my hcg. Have you found anybody on this site who has done it? What were your results exactly if that's not too personal. If that's too personal could you tell me if you think Almased works better than hcg? It kind of sounds like I have to keep drinking three protein drinks a day until I reach my ideal weight which according to their charts is 141 and then I move to the holding stage and have two of the protein drinks and one sensible meal. Is that the gist? I know this is a lot of questions, but am seriously interested.
Awesome idea. I will do that and let you know how it goes. Thanks for the info on where to buy. I don't know if I'm going to post my blogs this time. I know that I will blog because that helps me, but I might keep them to myself or just for friends so that I can be brutally honest with myself with worrying what the comments will say.
That fast you mentioned I do remember reading about it somewhere, but can you briefly tell me what it is. I remember downloading some pages on it, but I can't remember where I put them. This is the last round of hcg I'm doing with Pete. My friend was supposed to do this last round with me, but she has opted out. I've been off these phases since sometime in May and I gained pounds back also. Probably 15 pounds. I stopped going on the scale once I was 10 pounds over which was sometime in July. And now that I know I'm about to do hcg I have been eating alot of carbs. I think once this hcg is gone I will be, hopefully, more careful what I eat and go back to raw. I bought a book by Carol Alt on raw eating which I like better than the first book I bought.
Hi, Sarah, how have you been? Are you doing any of the phases of the Simeons right now? I'm going to do another round of hcg on August 22nd with my husband.
Hey Baggypants,
Haven't heard from you in a while!! Are you alright? I have had to be away from my computer for a couple of weeks; moved Ashley from Tennessee to here! A lot of hard work and a lot of time spent moving her; and taking care of the baby has been really tiring for me.
Let me know how you are doing; also, don't forget to send me your new home address.
Hope you and Jaker are settled in your new place; been thinking about you a lot and wondering if you were both settled in and how things were going for you all.
It would still be nice if you guys came to see us!
Hey Baggypants,
I hope you and Jaker get unpacked really soon; it is such a hassle, but I know you will love it all once it is finished. Privacy with a capital P!
I guess you must have done alright with baking all the goodies for the party! It really sounds as though you have such a talent for doing that sort of thing! It takes a lot of work and planning to be a good cook. I guess I'm okay at it, but I'm not a great cook. Wish I was! Bet I could learn lots from you!
I have not been able to use the computer since last Sat. Ashley called on Sunday and said she and Gabe would be here that day and they are still here, so you can imagine I have my hands full again! Whew! Remember I told you I had a bad pull in my side and it was all I could do to walk with it? Well, after two weeks of that, my house was a wreck! I managed to keep my kitchen so so, but the rest of the house looked like a cyclone hit it! And laundry was piled sky high! I finally was able to start cleaning house again, thankfully, and finally got it all done when lo and behold, Ashley called and said they were coming to stay several days with us! I was overjoyed to see her come, but man, I had just gotten everything cleaned up, and when they are here, I have to pull double duty!! I am worn out!! But Gabe is such a blessing, I feel guilty about even hinting at complaining. My house was so clean again..............now it is topsy turvy again. I guess I am not good at organizing!
Well, I'll send you another message to your personal email in a couple of days when I don't have so much to contend with here; and when I have more time to spend on the computer; right now I am worried about Ashley because she went out apartment hunting today, left around noon, and was supposed to be in a lot earlier than midnight tonight, she still isn't home yet and no phone call from her.
Okay, skinny, you did good! I am not skinny yet; don't know if I will be able to do that or not!! Hope so! I have been getting some sun, but I don't tan well on my legs, and that makes me mad. That's where I want the tan to be the most, is on my legs!! I'm not as ghostly white as I was, but no where near having the tan I want!!
Well, I have been so busy with Gabe, he keeps me running! Well, will close for now, going to try calling Ashley on her cell phone again. Each time I do, it cuts off. Of course I always think the worst.
I'm sure everything is okay; I just wish she would let me know if she is going to be THIS late.
Well, going to go for real, talk to you later!! Don't work too hard; have fun with Lexi!
