I thought I would start my own blog on my progress and see if this could help or I could be helped by anyone who is in progress or finished with a phase 2 run. I am on day 5 and am feeling pretty good. I am down 8 pounds from my initial 2 day loading stage. I am a pretty athletic guy who is really just looking to circumvent the love handles and additional weight that comes with getting older and less active. I am 37 and am in fairly decent shape but personally not where I would like to be and am disconcerted enough to finally make a move before things get out of hand.

My days on Phase 2 so far have gone as follows:
Day 1: 1/27 - 215.5 #'s
Day 2: 1/28 - 216.5 #'s
Day 3: 1/29 - 218.5 #'s
Day 4: 1/30 - 214 #'s
Day 5: 1/31 - 210.5 #'s
Day 6: 2/1 - 208 #'s
Day 7: 2/2 - 207 #'s
Day 8: 2/3 - 207 #'s
Day 9: 2/4 - 208.5 #'s
Day 10: 2/5 - 207.5 #'s
Day 11: 2/6 - 207 #'s
Day 12: 2/7 - 206 #'s
Day 13: 2/8 - 204.2 #'s
Day 14: 2/9 - 203.6 #'s
Day 15: 2/10 - 202.2 #'s
Day 16: 2/11 - 206.8 #'s (Huge cheat day! OOPS. :)
Day 17: 2/12 - 203.6 #'s (Back in the mix baby!)
Day 18: 2/13 - 201.8 #'s
Day 19: 2/14 - 199.0 #'s
Day 20: 2/15 - 199.6 #'s (Valentine's day dinner cheat. Not horrible but less than expected. Also, last shot day for me and Phase 2)
Day 21: 2/16 - 198.8 #'s
Day 22: 2/17 - 199.6 #'s (On to Phase 3 Baby!)


I did play basketball last night and i am assuming I lost some water weight from playing for 1.5 hours but amazingly I felt pretty strong and actually a little more energetic than expected. I will say that the hunger has been good for the most part but the habit of eating is still there and sitting around does nothing to help that. I will try and report daily and am open to any help I can provide or any help that want to come my way. Have a great day everyone. James

Day 12 down 1 pound to 206 this morning. Nothing spectacular to report except no cheating on the diet and about 20 inches of snow in Wisconsin yesterday. This lead to 2 excursions of snow blowing but that's about it for physical activity. Wednesday is usually a hoops day but everything was shut down by us. So, things are seemingly going well. My body seems to be ripping away the fat which is awesome and motivation is high although once again I will say that I can't wait to get to where I have to go and get off this thing. I want real food and some better quantities of it. Haha I also want to eat breakfast. I miss it. :) Happy Thursday everyone!

What a bummer about the snow. I had to snow blow 2 times on monday. I think that was the storm that blasted over to you Today. I've only had to snow blow once a day since. Kudos on not cheating while you were cooped up in your house. The weekends on phase 2 were the hardest for me. I just wanted to take sleeping pills until they were over. But we know thats not allowed. I have heard that fruit should be consumed in the early part of the day. So if you miss breakfast maybe you should eat the apple then. I usually had mine about 10:00 but sometimes I would have to eat it earlier and I did drop more weight on those days. Maybe it was a coincidence. atleast you have steady weight loss I would go 2-3 days with nothing. Then drop 1 pound or just half a pound. That was discouraging. Good talking to you!

Hey Jules, thanks for the pat on the back. The snow definitely sucked but now we are somewhat back to normal and going to get hit with the bitter cold now for a few days. I know your feeling on wanting to just wake up and have this thing over with but unfortunately it has to come with some sacrifice. I am hating it but I also can somewhat see the light at the end of the tunnel. I did have a question for you though. How did you break phase 2? I am reading 2 different things from Simeon's to Trudeau and I am a little uncertain as how to break this thing. Their minimum times are different too. Let me know what you think. J

What do you mean break phase 2? I go to a place here in Utah where I got Hcg and they follow simeons more than kevins. I was very faithful and never cheated not once. I did lose inches like you say but the scale did not always show what the clothing did. But I am obsessed with food. I watch Food network ALL DAY LONG. Thats no lie. I quit watching everything else. I do still watch Bill Maher, and the show "In treatment"
both on Hbo but other than that Only food network. I find it ver comforting. and it dosent stress me out I barely know whats going on in the world. I watch news just for the weather. Then right back to food network. I am going to eventually convert those recipes to organics soon. But I am less stressed watching that channel. Its strange and my family really seems to like it too. Well they have no choice if they want to be with me. I cook to the show as well. I have made them some amazing meals. They seem ok with that. I just cant eat or taste what I cook. lol.

Good morning Jules, I wanted to know which day to stop for a minimum phase 2 run. Trudeau I think says 20 day minimum and Simeons says 23 day minimum. Not sure on which one to follow.

Also, too funny on the food network. I would go out of mind but I can see how for someone else it may be soothing to see it and not eat it. I think I would be salivating all over the t.v. . :)

At the center I went to they said a minimum of 26 days. So I did 26 days this last round.
I know the food network thing sounds crazy. It is different. I make all kinds of food for everyone all the time. I made trifle yesterday for my x-husbands birthday. I made Cheesecake for my family.
And I really need them to eat these things. I take a quick smell and then watch them eat it. I make their lunches. I pack what I wish I could eat. I make them desserts all the time. And good dinners.
On the day of my steak protocols they are one their own. I cant cook on those days. I am usually kinda depressed. So they usually eat out on those days. Like today. they are going to mcdonalds for big mac monday. I am eating the unsalted steak. I cant believe how those steaks are actually starting to taste pretty good without the salt. I never thought I would say that. We did fill our propane tank yesterday, So I will be able to barbecue the steak. that will really make it good. I signed up with a trainer at the gym. I am going to train with him once a week and then the rest of the week on my own. I hope it helps. Bodybuilding usually makes you gain weight cuz of the muscle weighs more than fat thing. I hope I dont wig when the weight increases. How is your weight going?

My weight is going good. I worked out extremely hard 3 times last week and was down to 202.2# which meant about 16.3 in 14 days. I did cheat big time yesterday but I am back on track today and looking for the end to come this week.

As far as the muscle weight don't even worry about it as long as the fat goes first the extra weight will look good. Too be honest I like the way things are looking and the weight loss is kind of a bonus but not necessary. As long as the inches keep coming off I don't really care what the scale says. :)

What did you eat yesterday? Was it good? Did you feel guilty? And lets not forget did the bad food make you sick? (headache or something)

Okay here it goes. I had around 10 chocolate covered pretzles before we left for breakfast. I then had 2 eggs over medium with hash browns and wheat toast. I also ordered a short stack of 2 pancakes to share and ate about half of them. For lunch we went to a burger joint that has the best burgers and had a burger there with minimal fries and sips of the kid's oreo shake. We went to the movies and I had some popcorn and sips of root beer soda. Finally to cap it off and the worst thing in the world was 2 double cheeseburgers from mcdonalds. haha. I felt a little guilty but made a conscious decision to totally blow the day so not too bad. I did fell miserable after breakfast and lunch and felt mildly better later in the day.
Say, I am wondering about my progress - I seem to be really going slow now . Loose 1 pound - stay the same for a day - go up 1 - then down 1 . But I am not cheating! following to a "T". One thing I've been doing is dropping out the last "snack" of the day to help ... but geez I expected more.

ALSO has anyone tanned in a tanning bed? did it affect you good/bad????

Hey Lisa, according to Simeon's protocol the weight that is yo-yoing is water weight and the fat /inches is still supposed to be coming off even when you stall. I think we get greedy when the weight is just screaming off but it's all about the inches and fat baby. :)

As far as tanning, I tanned last week Friday and I don't think it hindered me but if you look at my chart that is where I somewhat stalled out. Apparently, getting sun is great but I think you just need to be careful that you don't burn as this makes you retain water. I may have burned in certain areas slightly.

Yeah James you're right! The inches are coming off people are noticing - clothes are looking great etc etc
I will tan and I am always careful to not burn. Thanks a ton!

I am having to get my snow blower fixed too!!! UHG!
