I thought I would start my own blog on my progress and see if this could help or I could be helped by anyone who is in progress or finished with a phase 2 run. I am on day 5 and am feeling pretty good. I am down 8 pounds from my initial 2 day loading stage. I am a pretty athletic guy who is really just looking to circumvent the love handles and additional weight that comes with getting older and less active. I am 37 and am in fairly decent shape but personally not where I would like to be and am disconcerted enough to finally make a move before things get out of hand.

My days on Phase 2 so far have gone as follows:
Day 1: 1/27 - 215.5 #'s
Day 2: 1/28 - 216.5 #'s
Day 3: 1/29 - 218.5 #'s
Day 4: 1/30 - 214 #'s
Day 5: 1/31 - 210.5 #'s
Day 6: 2/1 - 208 #'s
Day 7: 2/2 - 207 #'s
Day 8: 2/3 - 207 #'s
Day 9: 2/4 - 208.5 #'s
Day 10: 2/5 - 207.5 #'s
Day 11: 2/6 - 207 #'s
Day 12: 2/7 - 206 #'s
Day 13: 2/8 - 204.2 #'s
Day 14: 2/9 - 203.6 #'s
Day 15: 2/10 - 202.2 #'s
Day 16: 2/11 - 206.8 #'s (Huge cheat day! OOPS. :)
Day 17: 2/12 - 203.6 #'s (Back in the mix baby!)
Day 18: 2/13 - 201.8 #'s
Day 19: 2/14 - 199.0 #'s
Day 20: 2/15 - 199.6 #'s (Valentine's day dinner cheat. Not horrible but less than expected. Also, last shot day for me and Phase 2)
Day 21: 2/16 - 198.8 #'s
Day 22: 2/17 - 199.6 #'s (On to Phase 3 Baby!)

I did play basketball last night and i am assuming I lost some water weight from playing for 1.5 hours but amazingly I felt pretty strong and actually a little more energetic than expected. I will say that the hunger has been good for the most part but the habit of eating is still there and sitting around does nothing to help that. I will try and report daily and am open to any help I can provide or any help that want to come my way. Have a great day everyone. James

Day 19 and I am down under the magical number (for me) of 200 pounds. I am at 199.0 pounds this morning. I did play basketball for 1.5 hours last night and probably had some water loss but it is still pretty unbelievable. I have not been under 200 pounds in years. All the years of bulking up to put on muscle seemed to leave me with the muscle that I wanted but also more fat than I wanted too. Tomorrow is my last day of the HCG shot and then 2 more days of phase 2 dieting and onto phase 3. I will say that I cannot wait as I am tired of the food choices that I have right now and am ready to move on. I really had no magical number that I wanted to lose but getting under 200 was probably an unspoken goal. My main goal is to keep muscle lower fat and get rid of the fatty areas which preven you from looking good naked. haha. It is a funny comment but probably the truth for most if not all of us. Anyway, 3 more days total of phase 2 and away we go. The weight that has come off has definitely been in the areas that they needed to and at this point this diet is all it said it would be. Phase 3 and beyond will be the clincher in my mind of keeping it steady and resetting the body to where it needs to be again. Happy Valentine's Day to all!

Congratulations James. I just finished reading your entire blog and you are really an inspiration. I have been on P2 for about 39 days and I can tell that I should stop about now. I've lost 24 pounds total and all of my clothes are bagging on me. I feel great and the protocol wasn't that hard at all. The only thing is I didn't exercise that much on the diet. I am going to stop taking the shots and stick to the diet for the next two days, then start on P3. I have the ebook with the recipes and hopefully I won't gain any weight. Then I will start P2 in about 6 weeks again. During P3 I will do my total gym workout and maybe this will help me lose during P3. If you have any tips, please let me know.

Keep up the good work,

Linda

Hi Linda, thanks for the post. I appreciate the compliment and if my post have helped at all that is the biggest compliment yet. Hopefully I was honest enough because I wanted to make sure that there was no mistake on people being able to see what happens and what doesn't with how this diet works.

Congrats on your loss as that is quite an accomplishment. Losing 24 pounds is awesome. Don't forget that you don't want to lose anymore weight on P3 as this is where stabilizing comes in and resetting your hypothalamus. I think your supposed to run another course of P2 after your time on P3 or you can probably do a protein type diet.

Anyway, let me know if I can help in any way. I have read KT's book and Simeon's many times and seem to find new things every time. Keep up the good work and let me know if there is anything I can do.

I am going to read KT's book again for the P3 part. For some reason I don't want to give up the shots. LOL Maybe I'm scared. It's been about 40 days and I never really felt hungry. Even though I cooked for my daughter, most of my cravings were gone. I think I cheated about 3 times during the whole 40 days and after the cheat days I would only gain about a pound. Then I went right back to the diet I would lose 2 or 3 pounds after two days. So P2 is like my security blanket. I'm really in a hurry to lose another 25 pounds, so instead of waiting for the six weeks on P3, I am going to go back to P2 in 4 weeks. What do you think?

Don't do it. Our body has a funny way of regulating and even with things like working out it can condition itself to become accustomed to what we give it. Be patient. Think about how long it took us to put it on and then think that being patient will have positive health repurcussions. You don't want your body to build up an immunity to HCG and give you opposite results. Give your body time to recover and take the time off that it states in the protocol and then have at it again. If you watch what your doing and stay away from the sugars and starches you won't gain weight in fact you should lose fat even if your weight stays the same. James

OK, that sounds good. I will appreciate the time off from P2. Have you found any good tips from this site about making P3 work?

Day 20 and a little gain (199.6 pounds) from a Valentine's day dinner of Steak, baked potato, calamari, some bread and a small sampling of carrot cake. I ate accordingly all day and then did the dinner as I wanted to be somewhat normal on this holiday. The gain was less then I expected although I didn't go too crazy except for maybe a little on the calamari appetizer.
Back on track this morning and anxious to finish off the next 3 days as I should and then on to phase 3. I am anxious to start taking in more protein and vegetables as I am pretty sure this should improve the physical activities of working out regularly. This week I only played hoops on Monday and Wednesday and will work out Saturday morning. I just didn't have it in me to double up and workout as well as play basketball this week. Hopefully the strength will return in the next week or so and the weight will stay down. : ) Have a great Friday everyone!

I guess we'll be doing P3 together. I will share any tips I have with you, I hope we don't gain too much weight. LOL

Haha me neither. But remember we are only supposed to gain or lose 2 pounds from our last weigh-in to the end of the 3 weeks. So we will try to keep this in check during phase 3. Also, I am totally open to anything you have read or experienced in phase 3 to date as I have been absorbed in P2 only and need to do some more reading for phase 3.
