over weight dogs

Our dog bingo is over weight and we don't know how to make him lose enough weight to make him healthier. Any ideas?

Permalink Reply by candy and mark on February 4, 2008 at 11:47pm: I also have a jack russell that has always been over weight. He was the largest in his litter and his poor mom died from having them. I had to raise the six pups on the bottle from the first day.He also has some problem with his legs that the vet says he thinks has something to do with being raised on the formula.His legs shake a lot and I was told to give him an aspirin a day for pain. It seems to work, but I don't do it unless he gets bad. The problem is..How can I exercise him with his leg problem? If he is in pain, I don't want to make him walk a lot, but he needs to, to lo9se some weight...which will make his legs better...catch 22, huh? Any suggestions?
