Just went to the dentist a few days ago. They worked on 4 cavaties all from my upper left side of my mouth. The bill came out to be $1,450.00
Now is this a little too much to be paying for cavaties>??? It is a holistic place BUT they take insurance, so i'm a bit confused as to why the prices are soooo high.....does this sound like i was ripped off?

Also, i'm not sure if there is another post about this anywhere, but I had a disagreement with a coworker of mine- He believes the silver fillings are better, and last longer than the white fillings. Now I always believed based on my readings that silver, mercury fillings were toxic to the system, my dentist even believes this and agrees with me.....however, my coworker insists that my dentist is lying, it's a fraud, any input on this topic?? do you believe silver fillings are harmless?

Hi,

Whatever you do, NEVER have mercury fillings in your teeth!!!!!

I sufferred from Crohn's Disease because my body was saturated with mercury - from my fillings!

Mercury lodges in the gut and is very difficult, but not impossible, to detox.

All the best,

Eve

Kimberly,
Just like everything else, you have to shop around. I have had quotes from $50,000 all the way down to $20,000 for dental work. Same materials, same plan, doing the same exact thing! The price range is unbelievable. I haven't checked into it myself but my Aunt Wendy and several other friends went to Costa Rica and had extensive dental work done for a fraction of the price. Costa Rica has some amazing dentists and physicians. My Aunt Wendy is on this site under Wendy Aamot if you would like to ask her any questions. Have a great day! :)
