Weird letter from Kevin

OK curiosity is killing me and I have got to ask.
Has anyone else gotten a strange little letter, supposedly endorsed by Kevin Trudeau, that discusses a secret society that has "hand picked" you to join because you are so special and have rare traits they are looking for? They want you to join so they can revel their "shockingly powerful secrets" What gets me about this is, that you are suppose to keep this letter a secret and you have a time limit on how long you have to join to become a member, and of course they will never contact you again if you don't respond. This was my third letter in the course of a year. Boy! I must really be special!(lol)
If you have gotten one of these letters you will know how bizarre they are. My first one was from a man and I guess a mans view of what success is suppose to be and then I got another, the same one, about 5 months later. After no response from me they sent me another one, basically the same, but from a woman's perspective. Confused maybe, my name can be either. Creepy, strange, odd and a bit narcissistic is the only way I can describe them.
I have always been supportive of Mr. Trudeau books, because I know the things he has written about are true. I also hear a lot of bad things about him too, but mostly write them off to slander, to keep him quite, but these letters just don't feel right. So, if you have gotten one of these letters, tell me what you think.

Thank you BK for responding. Knowing Kevin does endorse and support the Neo- Tech Society, does shed some light on our questions. I don't know if that makes me, personally feel any better, in light of the bad PR that surrounds their business practices, but it is, what it is.
I guess if someone is suspicious, as I was/am, a considerable amount research would have to be done before getting involved and investing any hard earned money.
Love this site, love the people on it and thanks to all, who are involved in making this site available.
Thank you Brian for responding to my message so quickly that I sent to you and for answering my question; this does shed more light on the subject.
Robin, I am so curious. If you can, scan & email me that "letter". I'm being kept in the dark because I don't know what it says. Do you think it's possible that it's someone trying to dis-credit Kevin beause of a personal vendetta???? There are people imitating ebay, even to the logo. If that's what it is, it's working because everyone is jumping on it. And if someone did it to get back at him, they're sitting back getting a big laugh, right now, because it's working. . . . . And their laughing at anyone who believed it. It reminds me of the latest item going on with McCain, right no, when The New York Times said he had an affair. Everybody's jumping on it and it was meant to dis-credit McCain. In this world today, one can be accused of anything and if it's bad, people want to believe the worst. That's what sells the "rags". I'm not defending Kevin. I'm just saying, does anyone really know if he's really responsible.
Shadow, basically what it really is promoting is Neo-Tech. This is something KT is a believer of and that is ok. The method is questionable. These letters have been going out for some time.
I have gotten one of these letters and I sent in the money for the first book and was told to read it. I did not get very far very fast because I really am so very busy (I bought all 3 fo Kevin's books and am just now starting to finally read the 3rd one cover to cover) and was sent another letter before finishing it. I do however agree with the things the book talked about.

Anyway, I received another letter telling me of an on-line meeting but I first must purchase the next book which contained everything I needed to know to get whatever I wanted plus more than I ever dreamed possible and to start a legacy for my family. The beginning of the very first letter was an introduction from Kevin with his picture( I think I still have it). I think it said from the desk of Kevin Trudeau. The reason I sent in the money ($139ish WHOA!) is because I had received one of these letters about summer of 2004 but with no mention of anyone famous(although they said there were many famous people in this society who wished to remain anonymous) and I didn't have the money at that time s and I wanted it then. I did not respond and I received no further contact.

This past May I bought Kevin's 3 books and the letter accompanied them. This time I had the money and because it came from Kevin I sent the money. I believe your first instinct is what you should go with. When they later asked me to send more money for the next book of secrets I had missed the deadline to send the money because I had moved to a new address by then and recieved the letter too late. I am pretty sure I still have the letter and I have thought about sending it in with the money to see what would happen. Would they send me the book or tell me I have missed the deadline and have lost my chance? I have not received any letters about it since that last letter with the deadline which was in September 07. It does say not to mention the society to anyone. What is strange is that the people in the stories they give you for free all say that someone gave them the book. They did not pay for it like we have to.

I don't know what made me send all of that money. It could have been very good copywriting.
You may think I am gullable but for this particular "scam" I think there was and is something to it. I don't think it is a scam but everyone is right that it is a very wierd letter. I am very curious and just might eventually send in the money to see if I do get the next book. I can say that the first book I received was huge (its information makes sense) and after I got through the first quarter of the book it was easier to get through the rest of it.
I'll try to let you know if I send in the money for the next book.
Heather, you are not gullible. Don't feel that way. It sounds like you did get useful information from the book but it seems his antics is what is being questioned here. Some people may say by doing this, you are gullibe but it sounds like you are a good honest person who wants to trust. That is being a good human. In my opinion, it is the KT's of this world who should be held accountable. Like I said earlier, I am sure the book is good. Why must these people use this letter as their way of pulling people in? That is wrong. Sending a letter isn't a bad thing, the content is. Why not be honest with us and explain what this book is about and what the society believes? Let us decide. Thanks for posting and if you get negative responses here, just remember they are just people and there isn't a thing that makes them above you. Take care.
I seriously doubt that Kevin has anything to do with this in any shape, form or fashion. He is not embellishing when he makes reference to how he has been harassed, threatened and made light of by the powers that be. Has anyone made any sort of effort to contact his or his staff, I think they would respond immediately. I think this letter is more then a scam to procure your money as it is an effort to discredit Kevin. Would someone please fax me a copy of the letter so I can look at it? I certaintly will make every effort to talk to him either directly or indirectly. This type of thing seems to be the antithesis of everything Kevin stands for, irrespective I don't think it undermines the information provided in all of his books thus far, there is no doubt that things are exactly as he has purported.

I would ask since I have forgotten my new fax number to attach the letter to my email winterscroll@yahoo.com and I really appreciate that. I will make every effort to run it down. I hope no one feels discourage of this unfortunate event. I wish all of you God's Peace. Bobby
I would be happy to fax / e-mail, anyone a copy of the letter, and if you read back through the comments, you will see that Brian did respond to this forum, to say that Kevin endorses this secret Neo-Tech. society.

Regardless of the merit of their claims, which seem very fer fetched, I think some of the issues that are in question are, the bad public relations surrounding their business practices, very similar to the complaints made against the Natural Cures web site repeated unauthorized charging claims. Could all be a coincidence, but for someone who has dealt with fraud accusations before, I would think Kevin Trudeau and those associated with the Natural Cures site, would be very diligent in addressing these problems.

It does raise questions with his credibility, and I've said before, the things he discuses in his books appear to be accurate, so it is difficult to put into context, the association with this Neo-Tech society and the bad PR that surrounds it.
I have tried, mostly out of curiosity, to research this society and what they are all about. Very difficult, most of what I can find is vague, at best, but complaints and negative Better Business Bureau reports are easy to find.

I have my own personal feelings of what the Neo-Tech society is, but most of the people on this site are probably open minded, or they would never have picked up KT's book to start with, and everyone should decide for themselves if this is something they want to be involved with. I would just caution anyone, not to send money to a secret society/club before you know what your getting onto, regardless of who is endorsing it.
I also received the same letter!!! I was curious as well if anyone else received one too. Yes it is an odd letter, but it sure looked/sounded like it or the idea of it would be using the same theme or ideas used in the book "The Secret". Has anyone read that book? Or watched the movie? I did nothing with the letter because I believed that the idea to acheive wealth and such was the same as what is used in the movie.
Jackie, who wrote the book "The Secret"? And where can I get it? Is the name of the movie the same?
A lady named "Byrne", I will have to check out her first name. I do not have the book here at work. The movie is called the same name.
I am sorry I forgot to add an answer for your other questions. The name of the book and the DVD is "The Secret". I picked up the book at Target and I bought the DVD form Amazon. It is available almost anywhere. Yous houldn't have a difficult time finding it. If you go to a bookstore, check the self help section.
