Distilled Water - does it acidify the body's pH?

I just finished reading Kevin's book, and I immediately started researching water distillation systems for my home, when I came across an article written by a prominent Canadian holistic doctor suggesting that drinking distilled water will cause health problems by leaching away minerals in the body and making it acidic. This information stopped me dead in my tracks, as one of the central ideas of Kevin's is to make the body alkaline to protect against illness.

This is the article:

Thoughts anyone?

Yes, I've heard that over time, distilled water is not good for you. It should only be used during cleanses. But if you add minerals back in, then I think it is a healthy water. I bought these mineral drops at Whole Foods called "Concentrace". It has trace minerals from the sea.

Oh, and distilled water is definitely not good for you if you've been exercising or sweating a lot. You need to replace the electrolytes that were lost!

I drink a lot of distilled, deionized water and spring water.

I helped with a science project for my child using waters and the plant that got the distilled water grew the most. Of course people aren't plants but it was very interesting.

Distilled water would be close in property to rain water. Of course with all the spraying of the skies most rain water is now ruined.

Lemon's are supposedly acidic but when they interact with the body the turn the body alkaline I would say tha distilled would be more akin to that.

Yet I have been reading a lot about water memory and distillation does not distroy that. I believe there is a machine called the Ellis machine that gets rid of water memory.

Water retains the memory of the diseases that it comes in contact with, based on the homeopathic principle. This is why city water is very dangerous, because they just recycle the water and the water can pass diseases on to all of us.

Thank you for posting this. We just started getting our water from a supplier, reverse osmosis water. I really think I am feeling a lot more energy and feeling more healthy. I do believe that city water is not the best for anyone and really want to get a shower filter in the near future. Thanks again!
