It is quite strange when you watch it the first time you see it. It adresses a common thread amongst humans and that is understanding that it is not what happens to you that molds you it is how you react to life's circumstances. Most of us have been traumatised and built up emotional barriers to try and protect us from future pain. Forgiveness is the great healer. When we surrender our futures to our past we sabotage our dreams. The power is in the now!

"The Wall" - basically it is how reallity has grown inside the minds of us humans. Every day month year, more bricks are added to our WALL of reallity growing higher and higher without a destination as to anywhere yet. So far we have turned our reallity into an entertainment amusment park of pleasures and joy and ignoring our health along the way as many of us here now know.
This movie is about how high and far from being naturally human our reallity has gone. If a newborn of today could look at and understand what theyre eyes see when looking at the world, one might say how did you let this happen here on Earth? What went wrong? Pink Floyd's the wall is a look at how one tries to fit into todays world mentally and what happens when you fail at this task. It shows how cruel the world can be even when someone is suffering from a mental breakdown.
You have to be mad/crazy to fit into todays american scociety. How we can all go on without knowing how crazy we are is puzzling. You have to look outside the box or underneath the surface to get a glimpse of what is really going on. But, beware you may find some distubing facts that can cause your fairytale happy little mind frame to crumble. I think the album "THE WALL" was more detailed than the movie yet the movie does contribute powerfull images to get the point across.

Rember- Healthy body Healthy mind - You are not crazy. It is the WALL that is crazy. Just ask a crazyman

A logical person adapts himself to the world. An illogical person tries to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the illogical minds.

Hey, i completely agree with that interpretation. I remember when i was younger i always noticed in school how everyone always made of and fought with each other over the stupidest things, like this person dresses differently, has different taste in music, etc. I'm glad to see other people out there noticed those kinds of things as well.

By the way, have you tried to do the syncronization trick of watching 'The Wizard of Oz' and listening to 'Darkside of the Moon' at the same time?

No but sounds interesting. Of course I saw "Pink Floyd The Wall".... the movie. The music isn't so bad neither. You know alot of music back than I can't listen to no more but "The Wall" will always be good music in my book. Anotherwords I can never get tired of it...Dawn

I love this picture. It really says a LOT! I wonder how someone can look at this and not realize what is happening to their brains. I guess you never know until you know. Is there any body out there? Good luck finding them in the sea of robotic television clones.

Al Gore did his college thesis paper on the effects TV has on the brain. There are studies that show the part of the brain that recieves the tv is unable to defferentiate between real and unreal. Think about how many sitcoms, movies, cartoons, news specials ect, each of us has watched in our life times. All that useless info is still stored in our heads and compared to intellectual info the useless far outways, for most americans. With that in mind, is it possible that TV has shaped and molded your reallity and character. I suggest to you as a test, see how long you can go without tv until your reallity starts TO CHANGE

I haven't seen it but I should. I've also heard about The Wizard of Oz thing. I also wanted to add that the quote at the bottom of what Gabe wrote is one of my most favorite quotes ever. Although I recall it as being the "unreasonable" person rather than "illogical." Not that it really matters. Good stuff.

Ohhhh. At first I thought you were referring to Dark Side of the Moon. I was going to say . . . I saw that concert live in 1972 ? Or 1973? Anyhow . . .

No, I didn't see the wall.

if the movie doesnt affect you powerfully at first, try some all natural organic cannibus. I believe they may have used this in creating the film and gathering ideas for th film.
