Okay, I'm going to have to dodge some bullets here -- but as a retired financial advisor proper insurance is prudent. I insure my car and house even though I have never had to make a claim (knock on wood). You could be in some sort of accident where you and/or your family are hospitalized and have to take medications .... life support ... etc.
I mean no disrespect at all, but I do have a question, and I will not point to any of the posts that brought this question to mind.
Does anyone feel guilty for having health insurance? I get the impression that some feel they are doing something wrong by having it?
If so, I just want to say that regardless of how well we try to take care of ourselves, things can, and do happen. Sometimes medical doctors become necessary ...
Let's also remember that we do not have all of the answers to being the healthiest we can be. Some may think they do, but I would be willing to bet anyone that no one here, or anywhere else for that matter, has all the answers.
Some may feel their very best right now, but no one knows what the future will bring, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Even Kevin, who is an author; his information is only as good as the source he got it from. He has done a great thing by bringing awareness, no doubt about that, and I like him, but still, we have to remember that were all human beings ... were not perfect.
Hopefully we can all find the way to greatly minimize our need for medical doctors, but no one should ever feel bad about visiting a doctor if they need to.
No, i do not at the moment, but work starts in Aug and will have t only pay$5 biweekly. I want to get it because i want to see if it will include taking my dental work out and i know will pay for chiropractic visitsl.i also wear contacts. so it includes eye care. I know i may have to switch brands of saline and if anyone has any suggestions...i will appreciate them.
Good topic!!
Ihave health insurance but it doesn't cover everything. for instance if i have to go to the hospital there's a $2,000 deductible. what if I don't have it just hanging around??? anyway, at least I have something. but it costs my husband in premiums more that what we get out of it.
but I don't know if I believe national health ins would be any better. you can be covered but what kind of quality would you get??? and how much extra would it cost in taxes? and would MDs now be employees of the gov't??
