Tape a penny to the sting! It REALLY does work! The copper in the penny does something.....I got this idea from a recent email.

Might be why urine is also supposed to work for stings.

With the beginning of summer comes the blooming of trees, gardens and flowers, which in turn attracts bees and wasps of all kinds. But that is not the end of the worry of a sting. Many stings take place during the fall months. Reason being, bees and wasps are cold blooded insects and they linger around people in order to absorb the body heat of humans, therefore increasing the chances of getting stung.

Last week, I witnessed a 4 year old girl with her hand and forearm swollen to her elbow, from a wasp sting that she received to her fingertip the day before. The sight of her hand and arm brought tears to my eyes because I knew that if she had had Baker's Venom Cleanser available when see was stung, none of her discomfort would have elevated to that extreme point of swelling and discomfort.

Our web site http://www.BeeStingCure.com has under gone some new additions worth taking a look at. Old news commentary video footage from 1988 has been added to http://www.YouTube.com/BeeStingCure and the link is available at our site.

My daughter lives in the country and her kids are always getting stung by one type of bee or another. They have lots of wasps and yellow jackets out here. They have always used a baking soda paste on the stings and it works great. Last week my gand daughter said that she had gotten stung a few days before but it did not hurt or itch but now the spot was really swollen and hard and it hurt. I told her to try the baking soda paste and to let it dry and then do it over a few times. She did that a few times and by the end of the day the swelling and hardness was gone. Don't know about any of the other stuff but the baking soda really seems to work.

Hi Margaret,
have you tried using meat tenderizer? It really helps with the swelling and pain, and if there is a stinger, it should help draw it out - or at least get the swelling down enough to make it visible. My husband almost died 15 years ago from anaphylaxis, so I've done my research on it! You can also use Benadryl to help with the swelling / itching. Hope this helps you!

Guess what? I got stung by one last weekend on my middle toe.My whole toe swelled up.It was a red circle and hard to the touch. As soon as it happened It hurt bad so I got in the pool to calm it and then put bee medicine on it.I didn't get the stinger out.The day after it began to itch real bad.A friend told me I should put rubbing alcohol on it.It's fine now.
