Kevin Trudeau came forward and risked being called a nut when he mentioned in one of his cures books the fact that Roswell was indeed real and that aliens are real. Now Apollo astronaut Edgar Mitchell joins the ranks of those coming forward.
July 24, 2008
FORMER NASA astronaut and moon-walker Dr Edgar Mitchell - a veteran of the Apollo 14 mission - has stunningly claimed aliens do exist.
And he says extra-terrestrials have visited Earth on several occasions - but the alien contact has been repeatedly covered up by governments for six decades.
Dr Mitchell, 77, said during a radio interview that sources at the space agency who had had contact with aliens described the beings as 'little people who look strange to us.'
He said supposedly real-life ET's were similar to the traditional image of a small frame, large eyes and head.
Chillingly, he claimed our technology is "not nearly as sophisticated" as theirs and "had they been hostile", he warned "we would be been gone by now".
Dr Mitchell, along with with Apollo 14 commander Alan Shepard, holds the record for the longest ever moon walk, at nine hours and 17 minutes following their 1971 mission.
"I happen to have been privileged enough to be in on the fact that we've been visited on this planet and the UFO phenomena is real," Dr Mitchell said.
"It's been well covered up by all our governments for the last 60 years or so, but slowly it's leaked out and some of us have been privileged to have been briefed on some of it.
"I've been in military and intelligence circles, who know that beneath the surface of what has been public knowledge, yes - we have been visited. Reading the papers recently, it's been happening quite a bit."
Dr Mitchell, who has a Bachelor of Science degree in aeronautical engineering and a Doctor of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics claimed Roswell was real and similar alien visits continue to be investigated.
He told the astonished Kerrang! radio host Nick Margerrison: "This is really starting to open up. I think we're headed for real disclosure and some serious organisations are moving in that direction."
Mr Margerrison said: "I thought I'd stumbled on some sort of astronaut humour but he was absolutely serious that aliens are definitely out there and there's no debating it."
Officials from NASA, however, were quick to play the comments down.
In a statement, a spokesman said: "NASA does not track UFOs. NASA is not involved in any sort of cover up about alien life on this planet or anywhere in the universe.
'Dr Mitchell is a great American, but we do not share his opinions on this issue.'
I don't know about UFO's as in space ships coming from other planets, but I believe that there is without question, intelligent life on other planets across the galaxy and on many more throughout the universe and that many of these aliens have similar or identical anatomy to humans. Some of them could be additional human races and some might be completely different species. I say this from both scientific as well as Christian perspectives.
Statistically, with the billions of stars that there are in the galaxy and the innumerable stars of the universe, and knowing what we know and hypothesize about the way solar systems form, there have to be many solar systems with planets and at least some of those planets must exist with conditions capable of supporting intelligent life similar to ours, or at least in a form we would recognize and accept as life. In my opinion, it would be more statistically improbable and shocking to find out that we are the only planet in the entire galaxy and universe to sustain life amidst the incomprehensible number stars and planets! In other words, it is actually harder to accept that no other life was created or allowed to form with such a vast sea of stars and solar systems formed. The odds favor life elsewhere because the universe has order, rules, laws and methods for doing things such as physics, chemistry and biology and surely these rules and processes must be followed elsewhere and conditions for life must be met elsewhere as nature abhors a vacuum.
From a religious perspective, if there is a god and by very definition of what it means to be God, He is all-powerful and can do whatever He wants and He creates things including creatures with life, then why would He create so many stars and solar systems and galaxies and clusters and super clusters of galaxies that we not only cannot begin to count, but that we can’t even completely see only to place life on one measly planet in terms of the grand scheme of the universe? Who are we mere mortals to attempt to limit God’s decisions and creation of life elsewhere? Just because we may not be able to visit these worlds and prove the existence of aliens, just because we are not aware of them and just because we cannot even comprehend the numerous places that may contain life does not mean they are not there. In the same way that we can’t prove there is a God doesn’t mean that He does not live.
In my mind the belief that we are the only planet that sustains intelligent life is based either out of arrogance or in fear of accepting the unknown. I liken this thinking to the same justification that was used to assert that the world was the center of the universe and that the sun rotated around the earth in Copernicus’s time which was proven wrong by Galileo. Men of the cloth at that time got it into their heads that Earth was the center of everything, which to me suggests that they believed that God was also displaced from the center of everything (at least symbolically) implying that He was not as important as mortal earthlings! The size of the universe alone suggests that there is more going on then just us, and it suggests that at least something else exciting must be happening out there.
Why would God create such a vast masterwork and then confine life only to one planet? It doesn’t make sense. That’s like writing an entire novel with only one period at the end of the book. If he were only going to create one planet with life, a few stars to light up our night sky would have been sufficient, or better yet, a binary solar system with two suns to keep our world from ever getting complete dark would have done the job. And if God created life in His image here as the Bible tells, and He created life on other worlds, then it stands to reason that at least on some if not all of those planets, He created more life that looks similar or the same as we do because He is reasonable and orderly.
I propose that one reason the other stars and solar systems are so far away and unreachable is so that we have to mind our own business and worry about our own world and our own lives rather than dedicating an entire lifetime frozen in cryogenic freeze traveling only to explore one or two solar systems where we may or may not find life. And if we did find life, we might not be able to return to earth to report our findings anyway.
Maybe you can check this author out Jonathan Gray. He author many books and talk about suppress evidence that support the Bible. Google his name and you might find his website.
Wow, Justin, pretty deep. I share many of your same thoughts. As a Christian, is there anywhere in the Bible or teachings that are against believing there may be life elsewhere? Would it be against God to think so? I know some people feel strongly about this, which is why I'm asking. I don't know.
All these clouds, whirlwinds, pillars, vessels, chariots and pavilions are seen hovering in, coming down from or rising into heaven. The thunders, trumpets and voices that are heard are heard from heaven. All the men who leave the ground and all the angels and metallic, glowing beings that come down to the ground do so either to, or from, heaven. All the lightnings, streams of fire, brimstone and other destructive things mentioned have their origin in heaven. Even wars are fought in heaven. Since all these things are seen in relationship to heaven, the way the word ‘heaven’ is used is the key to understanding these phenomenon and must be explained. The word heaven is used over 500 times in the Bible. In the Old Testament ‘heaven’ is translated almost exclusively from two different words. The Hebrew word 'shamayim' which is defined as ‘the sky', the place where the clouds and stars are, or 'shamayin', the Aramaic word of the same definition.
In the Old Testament ‘heaven’ is translated from other words only five times in the following verses:
Psalms 68:4 it is translated from the Hebrew, arabah, ‘ the desert ‘
77:18 the word is galgal, Hebrew for ‘ wheel or whirlwind '
89:6 & 37 where it is translated from the word shachaq, Hebrew for ‘ powder or thin vapor ’.
Isaiah 5:30 heaven is translated from ariyph, Hebrew for ‘ the sky ‘
The New Testament defines ‘heaven’ from the Greek word ‘ouranos’ meaning ‘the sky’ in all but 7 instances :
Philippians 2:10 Greek epouranos, ‘ above the sky, celestial ‘
Revelation 8:13, 14:6, 19:1, 11, 14, and 17 from the Greek word mesouranema, meaning mid-sky
The infrequency of the word ‘sky‘ in the Bible must also be looked at in the overall study of this concept. The words sky or skies only appear 11 times in all 66 books. The words for things that normally appear in the sky such as clouds, stars, whirlwinds, storms, lightning, birds, rain, hail and wind appear over 600 times. Heaven is the word the translators of the King James Bible in the early 1600's purposefully translated into the original words biblical authors used for the physical sky and not some ethereal plane. The King James Bible was translated for King James of England who lived in a royal castle, surrounded by royal people, all speaking a royal language; a very proper form of court English. The Court English employed entirely different words to describe things, thus, confusing the commoners as to the meaning of certain words. You was thee, raiment was clothing and sky was heaven. Therefore, in all but the above noted instances, the word heaven should be read as sky. Heaven is the sky and sky fits in every instance. Heaven is not the place with the 'pearly gates' or the 'streets of gold ' as the pulpit would have you believe. That is the new Jerusalem and is described in Revelation. Heaven is not said to be a reward for paying your tithes or a final destination for certain church members. Heaven is where God flies, the same place the birds fly. Heaven is where God lives because that is where his throne is and his throne flies. And if any more proof is needed just consider the inheritance of the beatitudes. "The meek shall inherit the Earth", not heaven. The heaven of the pulpit is a simplistic, human conceptualization not a Biblically based reality.

The continuing appearance of flying craft from Genesis to
Revelation gives proof positive that it is the preferred
and only form of divine transport.
It is there the first time God speaks to Moses and appears over and over again right up to the revelation of John and is pointed out as the key to recognizing the Second Coming. It was there at the Exodus, it landed right in front of Ezekiel and hovered overhead at the birth, baptism, transfiguration and ascension of Jesus. Elijah rode in it, Job was confronted by it, Jesus was brightly illuminated under it and Paul was blinded by it. It ascends, descends and hovers. It spins, flashes and glows. It can cause earthquakes, destructive winds, mass destruction and it can dry up seas. God says it is his throne, dwelling place and one very powerful means of impressing his will on mankind. God says in it lies his strength and his truth. To deny that God commands a flying craft is to ignore the testimony of the prophets, the apostles and Jesus himself. And when Jesus said he would return, he said he would be in command of a fleet of flying vehicles, twenty thousand strong, and forcibly retake control of the planet.
The religious community will condemn this writing as an attempt to perpetuate the Great Deception. But, since there is abundant evidence that there is an aerial phenomenon clearly connected to the God of the Bible, a serious question is posed. Who is doing the deceiving? We encourage those who are curious to check the sites that claim this is an evil plot. There is a Great Deception touted, but they do not in any way address the myriad of Biblical text that addresses this phenomenon. They claim that this is the Great Deception simply because they say it is. But, just as the Bible commands to "prove all things", we issue the same challenge. Prove it, don't just condemn it because it doesn't fit into a mindset or doctrinal lock box. And remember, the Bible speaks of a "Great" Deception, not a minor or moderate deception. In other words, the popular view is much more suspect than the fringe. Many shall be deceived, not just a few. Mankind will be so deceived that it will unite and fight against the returning Christ.
Dumbing Down The Bible
The Old Testament is the compilation of the encounters between a race of super beings known as the Elohiym, led by a being known as Yhovah and served by a race of beings known as the Malak. Yhovah, with an army of beings, has created a planet and populated it with a vast variety of living creatures existing in perfect harmony. The Elohiym and the Malak are eternal beings. The Elohiym created a race of physical beings known as the Adam to be caretakers of this newly created biosphere. It is the physical nature of the relationship between the Elohiym and the Adam that this work addresses. A simple study of the text will show that this relationship is hardly the ethereal, vague and often confusing one that the church would have you believe. It is, rather, a glaring, powerful meeting between a race of superior beings that travel in high tech, high flying, brightly lit, very large, ultra powerful vehicles confronting a primitive, no-tech and non-flying race of terrified, often belligerent and combative, race of humans. This association is documented throughout the Old Testament and only changes in the books of the New Testament when the decision is made to integrate the Elohiym into the Adamic race. Yhovah becomes Jesus and the relationship changes radically.
There are two basic reasons for flying phenomenon in the Bible remaining such a well kept secret. The first is the historical context in which the Bible was written. We live in a modern age with so much light on our planet we can’t see the stars at night. So many things are flying around in our skies, our airports are running out of room to land them all. One would be hard pressed to find anyone old enough to talk that doesn’t know what UFO stands for. Highly advanced technological wonders are now common place. Consider the age of the writings contained in the 66 books of the King James Bible (79 if you include the Apocrypha, which was in the original King James Bible). These writings are between 2000 and 4000 years old. This was a primitive and no-tech time and the total absence of such technology is key to understanding what the writers are describing. No house lights, streetlights, spotlights, searchlights or neon signs. No private planes, jets, helicopters, blimps, missiles, satellites or weather balloons and none of the lights and sounds that go with them. When someone tries to describe something that is flying, spinning, glowing and flashing in the sky, it can only be described in the terms of things known in that person's environment. Never having seen even so much as a kite in the sky, the description can take many forms, all in the terms of the natural world and the crude manmade objects of the day. There simply was nothing technological to compare it to. This is why there are clouds, whirlwinds, chariots and platforms. Glowing things are fires enfolding themselves, flashes are lightnings, lights are fires, lamps or coals and moving parts are living things.
A careful study of these related sightings will make only one thing questionable. Not whether God uses a flying vehicle, but how many different types are actually used. Was it several different vehicles or several varying descriptions of the same one? Even though Ezekiel’s very close encounter with this strange craft is the most vividly detailed of all, it is only one of many sightings. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the pillar of a cloud became a pillar of fire because someone turned the lights on. Certain lights that this vehicle project are so awesome, they actually strike fear and blindness into those that see them. But, of course, a modern flashlight would probably scare someone living thousands of years ago.
I believe that most of the Old Testament was written in parables, metaphors, etc..... and cannot be literally taken. If there were only 2 of each species on Noah's Ark, why are there not many incestuous products of animals and people?
I'm just talking off the top of my head now but what if Christians will be "kings and priests", ambassadors, if you will, to other planets and life forms. After all, eternity is impossible to conceive in the mind of man, but I imagine God has a lot of work for his people to do besides flit around with harps all day as some people think...BORING!! :-)
The dangerous thing about ascribing metaphorical symbolism to Bible passages that can be taken literally and make sense the way they are written is that we are changing the original meaning and intention of the Holy Scriptures. The rule that Christians should all follow when understanding the Bible is this: When the literal makes sense, all other is nonsense. I, for one, don't want to stand before God one day, to say, "Oh, so you you really meant what you said there?" An example is in Genesis when God said all was created in 6 days. People change God's meaning and say say, well, a "day" can *mean* 1000 years or even more. Except for one problem with that. God actually defined "day". He said, "And the evening and the morning were the first DAY." Then WE come along and decide, well, that can't be true, because of this or that, so we *change* the definition. I would be very, very careful of telling people the Bible doesn't mean what it says because there is a stern warning to anyone who adds or subtracts from God's word. Care to try all the plagues of the Bible on yourself? I don't think so! Let the plain meaning govern.
The Bible says that God calls things that aren't as though they are.
Every "day" in genesis, day 1 through day 7, is the same word, "day" in Hebrew. The "day" is always defined as evening + morning. You cannot pull the word "day" from 1 Peter and re-define day in Genesis as 10,000 years. The point of Peter saying what he did was not to refer back to creation in Genesis. It was to underscore the fact that God is outside of time. He defined time for us in our 3-dimentional universe which began on day 1.
Day 1: Ge 1:5 God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning-- the first day. Day 2: Ge 1:8 God called the expanse "sky." And there was evening, and there was morning-- the second day. Day 3: Gen. 1:11 Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so. Ge 1:13 And there was evening, and there was morning-- the third day. Day 4: Gen 1:16-19 God made two great lights-- the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And there was evening, and there was morning-- the fourth day. Day 5: Gen 1:23 (Sea animals & birds) And there was evening, and there was morning-- the fifth day. Day 6: (Land animals + man) Gen. 1:31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning-- the sixth day. Day 7: God rested.
Yes, I agree that Abraham's willingness to sacrifice Isaac is *forshadows" God's sacrifice of Jesus. But Abraham is a real person, Isaac is a real person and that event really happened because God said it did. Check out the long geneologies in the OT. They are literal and specific, even the number of years each one lived to bring us right up to Jesus to show he came from the lineage of not only David but all the way back to Adam who was also a literal man. Why? Because he had sons with actual names and the Bible records geneologies.
As for Revelation, I agree with you, there are a lot of symbolisms in Revelation, but there is also much literal in Revelation, too.
As for the beast:
Rev. 13:1 And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.
2 The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.
Jesus is referred to as the "lamb", and you know as well as I do, Jesus is not a literal lamb and Satan is referred to as "the dragon."
As for as the 10 crowns of the beast, it has been surmised that these are the 10 nations in the European Common Market that will give total power to a man (the "beast" given his power by Satan) to be the last one-world ruler before Christ returns with His people, sets things straight, and thank God, cleans up the awful mess we've made of the earth.
Hi, Dot, some points I'd like to address, I'll start with this most important one where you said:
1. "The OT repeatedly says that the keeping of the sabbath is the seal by which God knows his people."
No, that's a false statement. God knew and knows who his people are by their "faith". Heb 11:6 "And without faith it is impossible to please God..." God is the only one who can *see* faith. By observing, man can only *guess* who God's people are.
The commands were given as a schoolmaster to *show* man that he is imperfect and cannot keep them. The law's purpose was to point to Christ. It was not the final answer. NO one can keep the law perfectly. Therefore all men (and women) need a Savior. The keeping of the Sabbath in the OT gave way to the freedom in the NT because of Christ. The law stands, but Christ fulfilled the law perfectly. Christ IS the law. Christ IS our Sabbath. Just as Adam was clothed in skins God Himself made, Christians are clothed with Christ. When God sees a child of His who received Christ, he sees Christ--Christ IN you. The Holy Spirit is the seal by which God knows His people, not their observance of the law.
Romans 14:5-6 One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.
6 He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord.
Col 2:16 16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.
2. You said: "I prophesy that the religious right takes control in America, attempts to force morality on its neighbor, and institutes a sunday law wherein no work is performed, all businesses must close, and you get your credits (money) at church. If you don't go to church, you don't buy and sell."
THIS will never happen. First of all the "religious right" you have labeled, I don't know who, exactly. Second, all Christian denominations I know of besides the 7th Day Adventists worship any day they so designate, in accordance with the Scriptures I listed above. So this will just never happen. In fact the opposite is true. Secular humanists/ athiests HAVE successfully removed the posting of the 10 commandments, and any references to Biblical teaching in all gov't buildings. No "religious state" with religious laws will exist here until the anti-Christ comes to power. He will proclaim himself God and then it will all just get worse.
"Jesuit futurism" as you have labeled it, does not foster a third coming. Christ does not return to earth until he sets his feet on the Mount of Olives (literal feet, literal place), and "every eye will see him." (literal eyes) You may be referring to the rapture of the church in Thessalonians where all those who are Christ's will be taken from the earth and this is where He is described "as a thief in the night". Christ is not coming here, his saints are going. And this will certainly be no "secret." This is where I believe there will be a HUGE deception allowed. Some people will say this disappearance of millions was engineered by...aliens. Some people will believe it, and others will remember what they might have been told about the rapture by their Christian friends and family who are now gone. Those who delayed putting their faith in Christ will now have to go through the worst time ever known on earth. They may even be slaughtered for their belief if they refuse to worship the Anti-Christ and take the mark. Verichips are already in production, and with a person's whole medical history on it. Terror will be rampant and for "protection", the Anti-Christ will make everyone be identified with a chip that will carry ALL their information along with their bank account in this new cashless society. Those who become Christians during this era will know they are submitting to the Anti-Christ's authority and many won't do it. Without the chip to be scanned, there is no buying and</</body>
Thats strange, did you read the original bible. Certainly it was not in english. Curious, which version of the bible did you read, there were a few people who translated the bible, but by translation to another language means there are meaning in words that are lost in translation. You can not just say let the plain meaning govern when most people can not even read the original scriptures.
