Does anyone need any sound advice about mixing or adm hCG?
If anyone needs some sound advice about how to do this safely. Let me know. I am an RN and I may be able to help as I do this stuff everyday at work. After reading many of the previous messages I can see that there is a huge need for sound advice. Some of the messages I have read really concerns me. Once again (ihave repeated this numeous times in my other replies) my advice comes as a friend not a nurse due to potential liability. I would rather see you all do it safely. Remember Anna Nicole? She developed a sever infection due to improper injection technique which started a chain of events that lead to her death. Please be safe.

I work with hcg a lot and the mix will last 30 days if kept in the frige at proper temp. I did find on a website that sells hcg that it will last up to 10 weeks if properly stored. I know I throw it away after 30 days for my horses.

Hi Lisa,
Where is the best location to self inject? Today was my first day and I was so afraid, it took me three hours to actually do it. I used my front right thigh. Do you have any suggestions for the best location to administer the injections? Should I be pushing the needle ALL the way in ? I think I only went 1/2 way (with a 1" needle). The area is a bit sore after massaging it.

Hi Cassie,
If you are administering the injection yourself that really gives you no choice but to use the front of your thigh, but alternate from left to right thigh. I do not know how large you are, but typically IM (muscle) injections are administered with a 11/2 inch needle to ensure it enters the muscle. You may or may not need to insert it all the way. Use your own judement based on your size. You dont want to inject it into the fatty tissue and you dont want to hit bone either. Also, once you inject it you should pull back on the plunger just a bit to make sure that you do not get blood back. This is the way nurses are taught to do IM injections so they do not inject into a blood vessel. Also be sure to wipe the area with alcohol and let it dry before the injection to hel prevent infection (remember the Anna Nicole tragedy? -infection). Remember the length of the needle makes no difference as to the pain level, it is the gauge that matters. The gauge depends on the thickness of the fluid. Remember the larger the gauge, the smaller the needle. I hope this helps, but let me know if you have any other questions.

These don't have to go in to the muscle. Subcataneous work just as good. You'll need insulin syringes to inject 1/4 inch under the skin in to the fatty layer of the abdomen.

First let me say that mixing for SQ is the same for IM. No differences there. I believe you can use a smaller DOSE if you inject IM b/c the muscle circulates the blood faster than fat, which is why you are using a higher DOSE for SQ.
Now, I know I gave you the formula before, so I'm going to repeat it and hope you print this out.
For 200 iu dose you calculate the injection like this:
200 iu dose
divided by 2000 iu hcg
x 4ml bacteriostatic water
= .40ml injections
you will have 10 injections per 2000iu hcg using 4ml bw.
10 x 4 = 40 shots. So, you'll use (4) ampoules 2000iu hcg for 40 shots.
Now for a 250iu dose it goes like this:
250 iu dose
divided by 2000iu hcg
x 3.5 ml bacteriostatic water
= .45ml injection
This yields 8 injections per 2000iu amp of hcg
you'll use (5) amps of 2000 hcg ( 8x5=40) for a full round.
You sure bought alot didn't ya??? I don't know how much weight you want to loose, but at those calcs you'll be able to do 10 rounds at 200iu dose!!!
Now, when you say "how to mix" did you mean you need to know EXACTLY what to do step by step? I know you've mixed before, so I doubt it..but just wondered.

HOLY COW!!!! I couldnt be more confused..about ordering,and mixing! ( I flunked basic math 2 years in a row in high school if that tells you anything,and to this day I still cant balance a checkbook..lol
I have not yet ordered hcg.I want to do 40 injections .i was told I would need 2 amps of 2000 ius and 1 amp of 1500 ius at least to do the 40 shots
totalling 5500 ius.
also need the other goodies:
40 single use syringes w/ needles
2 30 cc vials of Bac water
1 50 cc sealed via ( this is for the mixing I presume)
1 20 cc large mixing syringe w/ needle
does that sound right? i have the book ' hcg guide to weightloss,which kinda explains how to mix"
but the amounts are all different.what if you order too much,( before mixing) will it keep and for how long?
I know myself and my inability to add and multiply, I will screw this up for sure!

I use 25 gauge, 11/2 inch needle and 1 ml syringes. A 25 gauge is much smaller than a 20 gauge (the larger the gauge the smaller the needle). I have chosen to go into the muscle, so that is why I chose a long 1 1/2 inch needle. Go with the smallest syringe that you can in order to draw up the required dose. For me a 1 ml syringe works perfect because I only have to inject 0.5 ml. This amount will vary and depends on how many units of hCG you will be mixing and how much Bac water you will be mixing with it and what your dose will be. Like Tyler said drawing up you dose will be more manageable if you go with the smallest amt of Bac water. It just so happened that my 10,000 unit vial of hCG came with a 30 ml vial of Bac water.
