As you can see from my initial introduction onto Community Cures, I can expound on the disease processes. With such information, everyone can make more intelligent choices in their natural protocols.

So is all my liver flushing been in vain? I need to know so I can stop and do something different if Im supposed too! I don't want to cause more harm to my body than it has already put up with all my life!
Cayce:
Hi. If you're asking me that question, the answer would be "Yes, I believe liver flushes are a waste because they give a temporary, short-term, symptomatic relief ONLY." Liver flushes do not address the nutritional needs of the liver which includes 1.stimulating, 2.energy restoration, 3.draining heat, 4.draining constraint, 5.detoxifying, 6.remove infection, 7.astringe/tone/tighten, etc.

Thanks for clearing that up for me! So....what about just doing liver cleanses like Dr. Schulze liver cleanse....detox! Is that the same thing as liver flushing? Thanks! Also....what foods are good for the liver? Are there any that nourish the liver?
All those commercial liver cleanses were based on the 'shot gun' method. The recipe is comprised of a wide range of herbs with a wide range of actions in hopes that they'll hit their target. This is an attempt to mass market the products. However, none of the over-the-counter are specific to your makeup or needs. That's why I've developed a way of customizing all the home-made, liquid extracts/tonics that I make after an in-depth consultation.
Like I said . . . flushes/cleanses are usually developed with a short-term effect on the body. But it doesn't really feed or strengthen the systems for a long-lasting benefit. And it doesn't address all the various conditions that develop in the body as a result of a sluggish liver, either.

I have talked to you by email before about my two year old son! We are hoping to work with you some here in the next coming months. Should I discontinue my liver flushing? I've done three so far and if I were to do a consultation with you......is there anything you just recommend for cleansing the liver, etc if there aren't any KNOWN issues at present? Thanks!
Cayce:
As you can tell from my postings, I'm not a fan of the "flushing syndrome."
Please, e-mail me and I'll send you an informational e-mail with pertinent info for you.
Thanks for your interest.

Here was a recent question about the use of liver tonics:
"Can Liver cleansing be done by older people. Does the doses change as you age?"
My response:
It's not that the "doses" have to change, but rather . . . different supplementary tonics must be introduced to correct other damages done over the years as a result of a sluggish liver, etc. The type and amount of tonic that is taken is not directly in proportion to one's age. For example, a 20 year old can have much worse conditions to deal with than a 70 year old. It's all RELEVANT and RELATIVE!
Also, I've found that when I treat someone from Asia or the Orient, conditions are more subtle than those in western people due to cultural/diet differences which greatly contribute to the adverse conditions in the body. In this instance, it's cultural differences that takes a priority over age difference.
Make sense?"
Thought this was relevant . . . or is it relative? Thank you.

I wonder if anyone can answer this one. In another thread I described how my sister-in-law died of after a long battle with her lungs.
We had lent her a phone to use and after she died they gave the phone back. The phone was white but it was covered, especially in the indents, with a yellowish-orange substance that was not make-up. Some of the phone still has it.
I thought it might be bile coming through her skin, at one point they did say that she was having problems with her gallbadder and they would have operated if she was not so sick.
I have the exact same phone and for much longer and it doesn't have this tinting.
As you know, one of the jobs of the liver is to filter-out and eliminate old red blood cells from the body in the form of bilirubin (red bile), and biliverdin (green bile). So, yes, your sister could have had a mild form of jaundice whereby the bilirubin/verdin came out through the skin onto the phone.
