I am searching for anyone who works night shift/swing shifts and how thy manage the Hcg protocol.
I typically work 5 days on the 11-7 shift so my routine hours Sun to Fri are awake at 8 pm until the following day at 12-2 pm.
I am usually off Fri and Sat nights so When I get off friday mornings I do not go to bed but stay up until 8 pm or midnight to do things on my "day off" and then sleep at night so I can be awake normal hours on Sat and Sun.
Sat I will revert to awake 6 am to midnight an Sun 6 am then shift back to night routine going to bed sun afternoon at 2pm until 8 pm and start the whole thing over.
This is going to be complicated with normal weigh in times of 8 pm Sun to thurs and then how do I manage the "meals/ weigh in on Fri when i am up 24 hours an Sun when i revert to night shift.
Any help is aprpeciated
I bet KT would say that you should find another job. Easier said than done eh? Anyway, I'm basically in the same boat as you are because I type from home. Most times I'm up until 4 AM or later. In fact, I woke up at 5 PM today and it's now 1:43 AM - hubby and I are going to the gym to workout. Of course, I have tapes now. Ha.
I tried to get on a better schedual but as soon as I got tapes I lost it. I'm also trying to work as a counselor in the prison systems and I'm sure I'll have different shift all of the time.
I think we just have to do the best that we can until we retire.
Just don't give up - we can do it. Maybe it will be a little slower or more difficult but we'll do the best that we can.
Margeret,
I am currently working 7p-7a, 3 days a week, my husband works 7a-6p, 5days aweek. We are both on the protocal. What we do is make his lunch and whatever he has for lunch I have for dinner at about midnight, he eats around noon. Than when he gets off work at 6pm, we eat together. He weighs in the am where I weigh in at about 5pm. When we are off work we keep up the same routine. So far it is working, hang in there. I hope this helps.
