hi Everyone,
I am new to this ... I have just been diagnosed with "graves disease"// hyperthyroid and my doctor on my second visit is recommending that i take a radioactive iodine and kill my thyroid and go on a thyroid hormone for the rest of my life... I am very reluctant in doing this... there must be another way thanks for any comments or recommendations

You might consider getting a membership to the NaturalCures.com website. They have information on hyperthyroidism.

There is also a book called "Iodine: Why You Need It, Why You Can't Live Without It (3rd Edition)" by Dr. David Brownstein.

There is also a supplement called Iodoral that might help.
Here are some good website:

My husband has graves disease and his doctor is suggesting radioactive iodine or surgery. I have 2 weeks till his consult to get as much info as I can. I was wondering what you have come across. I have not found much info on this site other than your post. Thank you in advance for your help.
