COPD
Dose anyone else on here have COPD/Emphsema? If so what Alternative Natural remedies might you use that helps? I had a Homeopathic Doctor up in Ok., but since I've moved here to Texas, I haven't found one close. He helped me more than any reg. Doctor has. I'm new to all this (Natural Stuff) and just let him take care of me with what he thought I should have. I've got alot to learn and hope someone will direct me in the right direction. Guess I should have paid more attention to what I was taking. But then I think thier med.'s are mixed according to what your ailment is, I know I would have to purchase them from him. I've looked at some of the discussions on Broncitis, because that's what most doctors tell you you have until they say it's COPD (surprise)!!!! I'm on oxygen 24/7 since 2004. I also have a high pulse most of the time. I'm taking two differnt pills for this and they aren't working to well. Most of the COPD sites I'm on will not allow you to talk about Alternative therapy. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..kathytx

Kathy - you might try contacting naturedoc here on the site. Hope you are doing well. My mother has end stage COPD. Wish I had turned to alternative therapies earlier in life - it might have helped her. She is 92 and suffering. I'll put you on my prayer list Kathy.

Hi Kathy,
I am a strong believer in Omega 3 fatty acids and take those on a daily basis. It helps to regulate my heart rate, strengthen my immune system, lower bad cholesteral and many other benefits. Also, I put 5 drops of good Oil of Oregano in bottled water and drink that 2 to 3 times daily. This is an herb that aids in the destruction of fungi (yeast/candida) that is caused by the steroids. Be sure to check with your pharmacist to ensure these do not adversly interact with your meds. Good luck to you.
