I was on byetta....it actually made my blood sugar drop a lot. I quit taking all over the counter and prescription medicines because they do more harm than good. I was looking at some chinese herbs on www.plantcures.com and found HE SHOU WU which is suppose to help the endocrine system. Soon as I get it and consult with my holistic doc I'll let you know how it works out.
Well my diet mostly consists of beans and veggies....Although I'm not a vegetarian I really don't eat much meat. The only fish I eat is what i catch....and lately.....I haven't been fishing! haha. But my weakness, which I'm trying to overcome....is CREAM CHEESE! ahhh
In my book, cream cheese (natural) is just fine. We need the natural fats, like those in whole cream cheese, cottage cheese, whole milk, whole cream, cheeses. Organic, best raw have many nutrients in them we can use. Sounds crazy, but true.
eeww, lol! I just came from the store Trader Joe's and picked up a store brand whipped one. Ingredients are: Pasteurized (I know, I know) milk and cream, cheese cultures, salt, stabilizers (carob and/or guar gums). Total carb 1g, sugars less than 1 g, protein 2g.
What does the Philly one say?
With dairy, mostly I look for rBST free. The label says, "our cows just say nooooo", haha! I eat the raw when I can order from the farm.
Peach leaf controls blood sugar as does cinnamon, gymenia, fennegreek, soursop and other herbs (you could do a search on the web). Also, if the pancreas is failing it is more than likely invaded with the fluke parasite and a parasite cleanse would be a good idea.
