Rollie, living foods are foods with live nutrients that the body needs ... alive nutriton... full spectrum minerals and trace minerals ... alive enzymes ... it raw, uncooked, unprocessed foods.
There are various weaknesses in the digestive system that can cause uncontrollable appetite. You have to find a professional who will help you determine that.
As you've obviously experienced, raw vegetables alone aren't reversing that probable digestive weakness. But herbology can. I think most of the trendy, strict diets lose sight of priorities in the overall conditions in the body. NO diet can change the weak digestive processes UNLESS you consider the super-strengthening effects of herbology which definitely is effective enough in targeting the specific organ/system weaknesses.
Not enough is known of your conditions to answer your question. But . . . did you like my little tangent?
Just my opinion.

Rollie, with what little you've already told me, I can see that there are some deeper conditions needing attention.
Matt has a reasonable lemon/olive oil remedy that you can try at home. I don't endorse this approach, since it's very narrow in its application. But if you're wanting an inexpensive way to start (atleast to rule certain things out), then you can talk to him. He posts on this forum.
