Well thanks....it's nice to be back...let's see how long I last this time.....LMAO
I hope it's ok with you if I speak my mind,,,,LOL....cuz you know damn well I WILL ANYWAY !!!....heh
That is too bad, Christa. I know you loved them; maybe you can adopt some others through the pound. Life isn't always fair. I wonder if it could have been feline leukemia.
I have a kitty I would give to you; she is solid white, and has one green eye and one blue eye!! We rescued her mama, and now we have her!! I have three other cats, and five other dogs; don't want any more. But they are, every one, a good friend. You know what I mean. Hang in there, you will probably get others when the time is right. Wish things could have been different.
I did want to tell you that my three pets I saved with the Vitamin K were dogs, not cats; but I don't think it would make any difference. One was saved by taking it to the vet and the vet gave me Vitamin K for the hemorrhaging and an antibiotic while at the clinic; the other two dogs I saved myself, by giving them the Vitamin K and an antibiotic and force feeding them every two hours. If the animal is not hemorrhaging, then I would not give it vitamin K; however, vitamin K is actually a blood balancer, if the blood is too thin, it thickens the blood; if it is too thick, it thins the blood. Just wanted you to know this! I wish you the best!
Christa, was this sickness fairly sudden in onset? Almost sounds like poisoning, to me. Normally, they are throwing up and passing blood through the mouth and also rectally, with diarreah. If your cats were only slightly poisoned, they would stop eating. Do you have any mouse poison out where they could get into it? Also, if they ever go outside and eat a dead bird or something, the bacteria in the dead animal can be very toxic; I have almost lost two animals that way; but I knew to give them Vitamin K to stop the hemorhagging and to force feed them. Regardless of the cause, a liver tonic and force feeding it would be of great benefit; also water, so they don't dehydrate. Use an eye dropper to do that with, just slide it between it's back teeth and squirt it in. Cats are difficult to deal with!! But keep your kitty hydrated. Try to force feed it some organic eggs, uncooked with the eyedropper if you think it should eat.
Since we live on a farm, and invariably there is some dead animal lying around for some strange reason from time to time, for that reason I keep Vitamin K on hand in case one of my babies gets poisoned. That alone has saved three of my animals since they were hemorrhaging so bad, and the fact I was force feeding them.
You hang in there hon, I know it's hard to do. I wish you the best; let us know how it all turns out for you. Wish you could make up some kind of liver tonic, that would surely help, no matter what the problem is!!
Christa, is there some way to concoct a liver tonic for your other pet that is feeling bad? You could dose it by using an eye dropper and squirting the liquid into it's mouth. Just a thought!
You hang in there, things will be better. Maybe try feeding your other kitty some other food instead of the canned stuff or the bagged stuff if that is what they have been getting. Cats love salmon! You might try that. Just trying to help, that's all. I'll be thinking of you!
Thanks Christa!!! I was just answering the question..:) Oh well....some people like to read more into things on here than what is really there.:):)
Have a great weekend!!
Christa:
If it's swimmer's ear, you should make a 30% solution of thyme oil and olive oil. Fill the ear canal and lie down so the oil stays in there. If there's no obstruction, then the oil should work within 5-10 minutes.
Let me know if this helps.
