Very Excited! but concerned...
My dad went food shopping this morning and came home with lactaid milk.
Although this is common, today was different. He brought home ORGANIC
lactaid milk! =) I'm loving the little 'unspoken' changes I am seeing
in my family.The less I say, the more they follow by example. I am very
excited that my family is on the road to a healthier lifestyle.

Have to always double check!
I was in Baltimore, MD visiting a friend from college this past weekend. I really wanted to fruit smoothie so I questioned the lady behind the tikki hut about what was in the smoothie. Her response was "just fruit and ice." I then asked, just to double check, "you do not add any sweetner?" Her respponse, "just fructose." Why they need to add anything other then just fruit and ice I'll never know. Needless to say, I am very happy I did not take her words at face value and asked the right question… Continue

Success!
I just wanted to share that my mother who has been having problems with arthritis for years has decided to slowly come off of her prescription medication! She went to our local health food store and spoke to someone who I hold very near and dear. She purchased natural supplements and has began using them. Although she is still taking her medication, it is less often. Of course she cannot just come right off her medication... side effect ugh. I'm so proud of her!

My Birthday
I had a birthday party last night and due to financial costs, I brought conventional snacks for my friends, and I myself snacked on organic snacks- until the cake. I probably should have thought ahead, but I did have a cupcake and a piece of cake. I'm trying so hard to resist these urges, but about once or twice a week I give in.
