I keep in touch with my family and my good friends there. It's set to private so nobody can look at my Information. I choose all my new friend requests on there carefully after I research what I can about them through their profile. If I don't like what I see, I don't accept them. and if after I do accept them and they get weird or post junk, I delete them.
