Should herbs be viewed as 'food' or 'medicine?'

Herb should be view as food. Banana is a herb. If we are sick, we should stop eating dead food like soda or anything that come in a box unless it organic. Eat food that strengthen our body.

Dr. Doughlass opinion about cholesterol.

Cholesterol nice and high? GREAT! Too low? NOW THAT'S A PROBLEM... I'm not just talking about raising "good" (HDL) cholesterol. I mean total cholesterol and I think it should be ABOVE 200. It could save your life. Yes, I realize that mainstream medicine has been ordering patients to lower their cholesterol more and more until they reach that "magic" range of 160. But, I make sure my levels are always above 200, and I've outlived many of my mainstream peers––indulging in life's pleasures the… Continue

Test for heavy metals in your body....

Lightening your load Q: I've read about heavy metal toxicity in several health publications, but when my doctor tested my blood, the results were negative. Does this mean I'm in the clear and don't need to worry about heavy metals? Dr. Wright: Unfortunately, the blood tests used by most mainstream doctors are virtually useless (except in cases of acute exposures) for identifying heavy metals that are stored away in your body. That's because toxic metals such as lead are rapidly cleared fro… Continue

Worry-free solutions for those "worry lines" Q: I read your response to the reader last week who wanted to know about natural anti- wrinkle injections. I'd like to smooth out some of my own "worry lines" but would prefer not to use injections of any sort. Are there any other options? Dr. Wright: There is a natural topical treatment that may be able to help you get rid of wrinkles at least partially, if not entirely. Within the last few years, it has been reported that a regular application of… Continue

Tim Russert untimely death raises questions about how we're treating heart disease

Russert's untimely death raises questions about how we're treating heart disease Dear Friend, You won't hear me say this often about anyone in mainstream media, but Tim Russert, NBC newsman and anchor of Meet the Press, was someone I respected. I took great joy in watching politicians squirm under his tough questioning. So, like most Americans, I was sad to hear the tragic news of his sudden death. After all, Russert was just 58 years old — relatively young by today's standards. According… Continue
