About Me:
I am a divorced single mom who has one son that is 20. I was a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist and I was injured on November 2, 1993. I was trying to stop a patient from falling. I only had a herniated disc and two surgeons messed me up and committed malpractice. Unfortunately, even though the judge's have found that I am 100% disabled they have not enforced the laws. The Insurance Carrier for the hospital that I worked for and the hospital have cut me off of all medical care, illegally calculated my pay wrong, haven't given me a raise in pay, have ruined my credit, and have let Social Security and Medicare pay the bills. My son and I ended up homeless for 6 months. I have no family help since my mother passed away. I have lost a lot of my so called friends because I couldn't do the things they wanted me to do. I am determined to expose the hospital, the Washington, D.C. Worker's Compensation Commission, and do whatever it takes to make them do what is right. They are hoping to wear me down and give in and settle my case. I have spent so much of my own money to get the proper care needed. They would rather have me spaced out on a bunch of drugs than handling the pain in other ways. I refuse to give in and again the big Insurance Carriers, Hospitals, and the Government are getting away with so much. None of the judge's want to deal with my case. I have had 15 back surgeries. 9 major surgeries due to the malpractice and 6 minor surgeries. I have an implanted pain stimulator and do not want to be on drugs. I have and am doing Physical Therapy on my own. The last three years I have been completely homebound. I got an infection in my bloodstream twice due to my living conditions (what I could afford) and mold got into my bloodstream. I am normally a very small person, but due to the inactivity and being sedentary I gained 65 lbs. Since I started doing physical therapy again I have lost 35 lbs. in 3 months. Also, using natural vitamin meal replacement. I am going to get a strong as I can and then I am going to expose them all. It is not Worker's Comp any more it is Employer's Comp. I would like to start a non profit organization to help disabled people. I was denied at the homeless shelters because I had a physical disability. A lot of services through the local government are only for Senior Disabled People. I am supposedly the only disabled person that doesn't have family members who can help me. My siblings can't pay my bills and take care of me. I love reading, competitive ballroom and latin dancing (which I can no longer do), and I love to try new things. I am very outgoing and a people person. I just don't want anyone to go through what I have gone through the last 13+ years. I loved my job and I would much rather be working. I hope to write a book one day to help people that are in the same position and tell them how they can get other help while fighting a case like this. They treat prisoners in jail better than the elderly and disabled in this country. You have to be a celebrity to speak to government officials and get the message across to the proper officials. If you are a movie star you can speak before congress regarding a cause you are passionate about. And this country is full of nepitism. I have gone through two divorces due to my disability and the financial problems that has come out of this obsurd case. I am determined to get my life back and to help others. I am not a whiner and I refuse to let my disability to hold me back. I may not be able to do certain things or work full time/part time but I would like to bless others and help them get through their hard times. I refuse to let the government decide my treatment and to be drugged out on morphine, etc... I want to turn my mess into my message. Hopefully it is not to late to find a man who can deal with my disability and I can grow old with. If not that's O.K. too and it will be their loss because I have a lot to give. I like to try new things and learn new things. I love the beach and warm weather. I love music and I am a big football fan. I love to cook too. I am a people person and I fight for the underdog. I love to shop and especially for others. I love outdoor activities, walking, nature, travel, and like to try new things. I love meeting new people.
Favorite Music:
I love all kinds of music. As a former Ballroom/Latin/Every Type of Dance Competitor I love all different music.
Favorite Books
The Bible, Natural Cures, Mystery, All Kinds of Different Cook Books, Non-Fiction Books to Better Myself, History, Health and Fitness (Especially K.C. Craichy's " Super Health, 7 Golden Keys to Unlock Lifelong Vitality," Fashion, and anything else that catches my eye.

The Disability Worker's Comp Trap!

My name is Carol Kelly. I was a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist and was injured on November 2, 1993 stopping a patient from falling. I herniated a disc and two surgeons committed malpractice and really messed me up. I lost my career, two marriages, my financial security, and I am still fighting my case 13+ years later. I have been found 100% disabled but the judge's don't enforce their rulings. The Insurance Carrier for the hospital, the hospital, and the attorney for the hospital are…

Hey Carol, sorry to hear about your shoulder. What a shame about Ron Paul, i'll have to read about it online. I am in South Korea now, have been for 3 and a half months now.

Hey Carol,
Have you been following the campaigns much? I could use an update on Ron Paul, I'm living in Korea right now and am kind of cut off from a lot of that. If you could sum it up for me that'd be great!!
