About Me:
I'm from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, which makes me a Yooper. I read Kevin's books a little over a year ago and have changed everything about me. I feel so grateful to have found his books and now have the knowledge to make healthier decisions and I'm constantly looking to learn more.

I graduated college a few years ago with a BA in Spanish and a minor in International Studies and was lucky enough to be hired for a medical interpreting company as my first job out of college. I loved Spanish/English interpreting and was really passionate about the concerns involved so much so that I may pursue a Masters in Interpreting.

Currently I'm living in Daegu, South Korea teaching ESL at a private English school. Being here is great for my health as everything I eat is so delicious and yet not processed or junked up with artificial flavoring/coloring and all those other things. You can read my blog about my experiences here at happyhousetales.livejournal.com

I'd love to talk to anyone who has been to South Korea. After my contract is up here I may teach in another country or move back to the states for graduate school. In addition to South Korea I've also lived in Guatemala and Costa Rica, and visited Honduras, Mexico and Japan. I'd love to talk to anyone about cultures, languages and the like. The next countries on my list are Peru and Brazil.
Favorite Books
I love to read!! I read mostly non fiction to learn as much as I can. My favorite books of all time are of course the Natural Cures Books, Secrets of the Talking Jaguar, Legend, Celestine Prophecy, Panther in the Sky, A Walk Across America, Life after Life and a whole lot more.

Whoops!

I'm such an idiot! A few days ago I started Candida cleansing with Oil of Oregano. Apparently I wasn't mentally ready for this because I didn't notice at ALL when I started having side effects from it and was sabotaging myself. Right around when I started the Oil of Oregano I was getting hard core chocolate cravings, so much so that for the last couple days I've been buying two bars/bags of chocolate a day and downing them in one sitting, or while walking to work (today) haha. Today it just hit… Continue

My first liver flush!

Last week I decided to do my first liver flush this weekend. I had been putting it off, wanting to get more time on the parasite cleanse under my belt but after the go ahead from the MH that I bought the de wormer from I went ahead and did it. Wow, what an adventure! I followed the Clark protocol and the directions are not very clear. I read it and reread it but I was still confused about a couple things due to the wording. I finally just decided to do what made the most sense. I decided to do… Continue

Bad day :(

*sigh* Well....today was NOT good. I'm on some new herbs from the Chinese Medicine doc and I think (I hope) that i'm just going through another detox phase with my skin. I was so happy on the herbs before, like, three days ago, and then he gave me new ones for my last batch which are supposed to cleanse my lungs, liver AND kidney, which before they were just for my liver. Anyways.....I dunno I just couldn't get over how horrible I looked in the mirror today, my face is back to being red and I… Continue

Oriental Medicine cont.

Well, today I went and picked up my last batch of herbs (hopefully) from the Oriental clinic. Both the doctor and I are very happy with the progress so far. My skin looks better and better all the time, which makes me wonder when it got so bad? It’s not the acne that was bad, it was the general red, irritated look my face had. Especially when I got out of the shower – it would be so red I had to purposely take a shower early so that my face would have time to calm down before I went to work. I g… Continue

My trip to the Oriental Medicine Clinic

Yesterday I went to an Oriental Medicine Clinic here, it took me weeks to get up the courage to go because I was sure they wouldn't speak English and I was embarrassed to talk about my problem anyway (my skin). Turns out one of the doctors spoke a tiny bit of English and we were able to communicate somewhat effectively. We sat down in his office and I told him that my skin has been breaking out for about three years now, but getting worse now. He asked me questions about my bowel movements, if… Continue

Hi Kelly, sorry it took me so long to respond. wow, I have not really gotton back to anyone in awhile. I may have to leave this site for a break soon. I just found out i'm pregos, so I'm probably going to be really sick for the next few months. I already started throwing up. I know it's no fun at all.

I'm glad to hear that you are ok regardless of all that protesting. lol. My dad who is married to a korean woman (my mom) believes Koreans are violent people. lol
Everytime the korean news comes on, my dads' like look, because all we see is the koreans causing raids, and are really violent, attatching police and all. lol It's just wierd, cause the older generation was much more calm.

I read your blog, about korea being really hot. My mom did warn me about that. She told me that in the summers it's brutal. and in the winters it's very brutal as well. It's one of those countrys that you get to expereince all sorts of weather. lol even yellow dust...now that is something different.

Work, is not doing that good. As you know i hate my job. But I 'm so far in debt that even with a baby coming, I can't quit as of yet. But i'm planning on quiting soon, probably end of the 2009 year. Now that baby has come along, my hopes of going to korea is 0
Oh well, but I will visit there one day perhaps. Hope you are surviving your classes. I know you want to go home already. lol how is kimbap lady going to do with out you? I can't believe you eat kimbops all day and time. I would get so sick of it. lol

Just wanted to ask how is the protest going down there with the beef? I know you are not in seoul, but i'm sure it's around yur area too. Can you believe, even the koreans don't want food that comes from America. lol
Stay safe girl! I've seen pictures of those koreans fighting police and lots of people getting hurt.

I'm wondering, do you think it's ok to eat a spoonful of organic honey on the Candida cleanse when I get a craving for sugar?

I'd avoid feeding the candida.

You probably getting the same phytochemicals from the tea ... if it's working, keep drinking it.
