About Me:
I am a child of God, and try to live each day for the Glory of Him. I am a wife of almost 12 years, a mom to 3 boys. ages 4,7,8. I also homeschool the boys.

We didn't learn early enough the dangers of immunizations for all the boys. As each one was born we learned more and more. Though when our oldest was still cooking in the oven, we met a lady who talked of the dangers of immunizations. How she believed that her son (or was it Grandson) is Autistic because of immunizations. But I was raised to believe the doctors know best. Maybe when I was little maybe they did, but know I think they are brainwashed by the "big guys" and don't care about poisoning our children.

We are active in our church. We love the outdoors. recently we got the boys a motorcycle. They have been loving that!

My husband and I are getting ready to do the HCG protocol and are very excited about the changes we are making in our health for the whole family. We try to eat organic but it's just so expensive.

Forum Post question

I have posted a question in the forum under Simeons Protocol..... Question is this.... If one goes over the 2 pound LIW limit by a lot... does the steak day only bring down a few pounds or can it correct the HUGE weight gain in one steak protocol?? Has anyone experienced a large increase?? If one is still not down with in the 2 pound limit of the LIW... the person we need to do another steak day the following day?? The book isn't clear... what if that were to happen.... what steps would one… Continue

Sunday May 25th, 2008

After steak day yesterday I am down 2.6 pounds.... putting me down to my LIW. . . . After talking with my good friend who is on the beginning of Phase 2...... after reading KT's book . . . I agree with what she said, which is..... KT says to have fruit..... Why would we restrict ourselves of fruit now and then try to get our bodies use to the fruit later? The fruit is a natural sugar.... Yes it's high in carbs but it's a natural sugar and Simeon's and KT say no sugars or starches...... they do… Continue

Awww, Angela, that stinks. Here's the thing: We are all different people and our bodies respond differently to carbs and sugar. This is what I do and other's who were struggling starting doing it too and now they are maintaing there weight. So, okay, are you ready? I don't think that you'll need to do this forever, but while on phase three, I would do it because this is the most important phase of the protocol.

First, have you read Dr. Simeons manuscript, Pounds and Inches? In there he clearly states on P3 NO SUGAR NO CARBS. What he does not say is what type of sugar and what type of carbs. I play it safe by thinking that he means the whole, big picture. You said you have not eaten fruit. Great. Fruit is a sugar. One apple has 17 grams of carbs in it! I only eat 20 carbs a day. Do you have the Atkins diet book? If not, I would suggest that you get it quickly, so you don't have to do too many more steak days. Some people might say, "If I wanted to Atkins, I would have done it." Atkins is not forever, and you would not be following Atkins to the letter, just the twenty carbs. Eat only fresh, organic, chemical free food. Your dairy must be hormone-free, no steroids. Your meat must be hormone-free, no steroids as well.

Um, I gotta go for now, our little dog has been sedated to be groomed. We had to bring her back for more medicine b/c they did not give her enough. But it looks like she's ready to be groomed now. I'll write to you again with the rest of the information on 20 carbs b/c I did not fill you in on everything.

Hi Angela. I dont know about menopause since Ive stopped my periods now for 13 years. I havent heard of anyone having trouble concerning hcg and menopause. Dont know how it would make a difference. Anyway, on another suject. We are at Brookings and its really warm here today. It got up to 88 degrees and is supposed to be that way for the next 2-3 days. Brookings is sure a banana belt of the coast. We took a drive a few miles toward the Ca. side and it was only 68 degrees to the 85 at that time here in Brookings.

Hey there Angela. You did so good on phase 2...wow, 22.6 pounds. Congrats. I am sure that eggs/meat/cheese breakfast was yummy...I cannot wait to eat eggs again for breakfast.

Katherine (Kamanda) sent us a carb link that I think will really help. I remeber from Atkins that going by the Glycemic index (GI) of foods was the best way to add in carbs again. I found grapefruit (for me anyways) did not affect my weight....it has a low GI. I believe strawberries do too, but only a few. If raw milk is not on the GI chart Katherine sent, try another google search for GI charts and try to find it that way. There are many GI charts out there nowadays. Just remember to say under 20 carbs...that is the trick. Good luck.....P.S. Love the new pictures...you are adorable.

LOL Angela, Katherine and I were talking about your photograph about an hour ago in the bank. The funny thing is though, that she hadn't seen the comment I had left for you, but she was talking as if she had! He, he. What kind of pictures do you enjoy taking the most?

Hi Angela!!! My kids are 11, 8, 7 and 2. We use a variety of curriculum....Charlotte Mason to Abeka. Each kid is so different and like such a variety of methods. We also have a co-op where the kids get Art, Music, History and Science...although we do alot at home as well. How about you?

Hi, Angela, I saw your comment on Katherine's page and I had to laugh about the angle of your face and why. I have to say though that if you were to take an older woman and do that, ha, there face would fall to that side! That's why there are face lifts!

Hi Angela T, she will not have a period. I take hormone shots once a month and during p2 I do not take them at all and have had not flashes or anything. I feel great. I do not do anything differently and it has really worked for me. So good luck to you and your mother in law. Let me know if I can help you with anything else.
